This was my second visit and both times haven’t been the best experience. My most recent visit will definitely be my last. I’m sure a lot of people have had a good experience here but this place isn’t to my liking. Atmosphere is very chaotic. The issues I had.
Card machine wasn’t working, so we could either pay by cash, or by using the QR code. No signal in area we were seated, and had to connect to the wifi, which took quite a while as the connection was very bad. Have to sign up for their mailing list in order to connect to wifi just so we can order (very very tedious) Dog sat directly on tables, I understand this is a dog friendly restaurant however I wasn’t aware of how dog friendly. I love dogs but even I was very uncomfortable being in this restaurants. I witnessed a dog seated on top of the table, which is very very unhygienic in my opinion, especially since moments later my water came and placed my cutlery directly on to the table, all I could think about was the dogs butt on the table, I felt physically sick, I’m sure they clean the table after every use but regardless that image was stuck with me. Staff saw this and didn’t say anything Another dog pet peeve, but I had someone else’s dog run up to me and jump up at me whilst I was eating. I don’t dislike dogs but when I’m eating I don’t want a dog jumping on me, especially at a restaurant Maybe being picky on this last one, but if you sit in the back (indoors) be mindful that the door to the smoking area is kept open and is right next where people are sitting , so you will be surrounded by a cloud of smoke. We were sitting a couple of metres from the back door and yet could smell the smoke from outside Had little to no interaction with staff besides to hand us the menu, tell us about the card machine and to give us our food, didn’t speak to the staff at all. Staff seem...
Read moreWe are a couple who popped in for some brunch and planned for our friends to meet us there. It wasn't very busy when we arrived and placed our order but started to fill up while we were there. We were greeted at the door with a nice smile and told to take a seat. We were told we could order online from the table or head to the bar. The table we sat at was clean, as were all the other available tables. We decided to order from the table for ease. Two cold drinks, a big all day breakfast and a chicken flatbread with some chips. 20 minutes went by with no drink. My partner enquired at the bar to which the woman at the bar apologised and assured us the drinks would be right over. 5 minutes later the drinks appear with another apology and an offer for another drink on the house if we wanted one. That was appreciated. We then proceeded to wait even longer for our food. Another enquiry from my partner to the waitress and the food comes out a few minutes later. The breakfast was huge, good value for money but parts of it were burnt. Especially the bacon, some of it was inedible. The flatbread was tasty and a good portion size. Basically we think they forgot our order as it was made online. Other tables who had come in and ordered after us were recieving their orders first. Our friends were meeting us but we decided not to stay at Milo lounge and moved on to another bar. Overall the service was polite and I understand people make mistakes but it unfortunately made the experience unenjoyable for us. I would go back for a drink in future but not...
Read moreThe food is the main thing that gives it away that this is a chain as you can sense the lack of love that goes into it. The staff are lacking in enthusiasm and would clearly rather be elsewhere. On my last 2 visits they have missed things off the kids meal and I've had to ask for it, but still it's not been as advertised, and no apology or explanation/substitutions offered. I used to be a fan of the sherbet lemonade here but I think they've changed the recipe to cut costs or the staff need more training because it's tasted like dirty dish water the last few times. And for a place that loves to put everything in a separate container on your plate (beans in a metal cup, chips in a cup), I was shocked to discover that the kids pancakes came drenched in a bitter blackcurrant sauce. Surely if there's ever a time to separate something it's on the kids menu. My little girl would love the sauce if she could dip it but her whole plate was swimming in sauce and she ended up leaving 90% of the meal. The crudités promised were missing the peppers and breadsticks and the dry carrots delivered were sticking out of the hummus which she doesn't like so therefore she wouldn't eat them either. Definitely won't be going back, it's too expensive, and I would rather give my money to one of the lovely independent places on the road where everything is made and...
