It was my first time coming to this park with my children and they really enjoyed the recreation area. The range of apparatus was sufficient for all age groups, it's a good size and it has small hills which I think is useful and provides additional play opportunities. The geese are quite friendly and my children were happy feeding them. The lake is nice but the geese poo is not conducive to having a picnic next to it, although there is seating where in the recreation area where the lake is visible. There are no public toilets that I could see, or perhaps they were out of use due to the Covid crisis (if your little one needs to pee urgently there are bushes). The car park is such a bonus, I think it's of of few parks in Newham that has one. Overall, it's a nice...

Becton District Park was once a wonderful place for children and families. However, with the removal of the gates around the play area, it has become unsafe. Dogs now freely enter the area, sometimes chasing children, including those with learning disabilities. The play area is littered with dog waste, posing a serious health risk as children end up with dirty hands and faces simply by playing.

This is an urgent call to the council, the mayor, the local MP, and all concerned authorities: please take immediate action to fix this situation by reinstating the gates and ensuring the safety of all children in Becton...

Nice big park, plenty of wooded areas to run in and out of. Large play park suitable for children 12 or less. Best bit is the large lake, lots of wildlife to see. There were plenty of people fishing. Reasonable size free carpark, bus stops within a few minutes walk too. A small row of shops couple of minutes away too. There's a Lidl and Asda between 5 and 10 minutes walk if you wanted to pick up a last minute picnic. If you do bring something to feed the ducks please avoid white bread if possible. Other options like oats, peas, sweetcorn, plain rice or bird seed is great. I found out today geese also...

It was a nice and really peaceful, sunny experience. You can meet families, pensioners, dogwalkers, or yoyful pairs, enjoying the harmony of this place. There are small waterfall, various birds and nice trees. As if from nowhere, friendly cat appeared and began playing with me and my bag, but birds began talking to me and accompanied, while I slowly went to the lake. I love Becton, especially its Western part, and this park with the beautiful lake is its real treasure!
