Visited this place with the Pie & Mash Club. This was a 9/10 for me and the scoring based on the fact that they don’t sell eels. Very good quality pies, good liquor but the outstanding thing was the mash - the best texture and taste that I’ve had in a Pie & Mash Shop and I’ve visited many. To add to that the chili vinegar was very lively. The owner Terry and his partner were lovely friendly people who made customers feel very welcome. It’s a bit tucked away but worth the trip. If you don’t visit this shop you’re missing out. Would highly recommend.

A stone throw from the Excel center Prince regent d.l.r station, is a gem of a pie and mash shop. The mashed potato is smooth creamy no lumps. Pie is authentic tasting deep field identifiable beef mincemeat light easy to cut pastry, with a liquor sauce made with lots of fresh cut parsley, if you are daring have a splash of chilli malt vinegar on your pie. For that authentic EastEnder taste Barry's pie and mash.

Tried it out as it was local and someone mentioned the place on the weekend. It’s a clean and welcoming shop. The food is 5/10 and that’s being nice. Too much gravy pouring out of the Pies and not enough meat. Pie and the liquor is very bland you need loads of salt and chilli vinegar to get any flavour. Hope things improve.

I can only admire the courage of terry the owner there who I spoke to in depth in a quiet moment . He has put his heart and soul into this business venture, to feed the locals and journeymen like me who come from far and wide to sample this London dish which if we are not careful , will decline in numbers like the London pub . So locals get down there and support ! That’s the soapbox finished with lol , now onto the food which was top class . Definitely the best mash I’ve tasted in a pie shop . The liquor was lovely and the pies superb . I’ve been to 40 odd pie shops since I retired last year and because of the best quality mash , this is in the top three . So for £4 pie and mash you have...

Had wonderful time in there this afternoon. The mash was five start, just creamy and asking you to push more down the throat. You didn't smell the potato ordour. This is a first for me.

The pie was all inviting East end , kinda saying happy new year mate! The liquor was all mellow. The environment was all home. Terry and crew ,walaaaa. Terry thank you for the home environment. Please try this hide out. Theis type of dinning with real personality is rare.

Not tomany pple flocking in but a smile...
