Tucked a street away from Chiswick High Road, this beautifully stylish coffee shop is straight out of a movie scene. The decor is absolutely fabulous and extremely homely. Adorning the walls are musical and artistic memories that is reminiscent of a journey through time. There’s messages everywhere with a magical enchantment in each vinyl sleeve. Everything has been meticulously placed with love and care.l, even the vintage lighting and stairs to the spotless restrooms.
As soon as you walk in, you feel welcomed by the soothing aroma of the finest coffee beans London has to offer.
My favourite is a small cappuccino with 2 shots - the balance is just right. I sweeten it with natural brown sugar and listen to classic lively beats playing in the background. The owner is a huge music fan with fine taste and a bubbly charm.
The staff are ever so welcoming and customer service is of the upmost importance. There are even cameras watching and regulating staff performance. Regulars are remembered and catered for accordingly with a smile on each encounter.
It’s not just a coffee shop either, the food is finely crafted and catered for with Gordon Ramsay style presentation, as if a platter of art is finely laid out before you. The unforgettable taste compliments the photogenic cuisine and is blissful, remaining long after you’ve finished your generously sized meal - you get what you pay for with no compromises. Perfection is an understatement.
The outside seating has a beautiful view and is somewhat cinematic with a view of Turnham Green Church in all its surrounding splendour of landscaped greenery to compliment. There’s something natural about this experience.
Once in a while I’ve also been fortunate to experience acoustic nights, book signings and art presentations. It’s more than a cafe - it’s a valuable part of a lively community, snugly fitting in the very essence of Chiswick.
I’m a regular and I can’t ever imagine being without my second home.
Thank you Ann.. you’ve seamlessly managed to merge art, a vintage atmosphere, retro music, food, coffee and cake in one tasteful venue. I can only imagine your next project to be even more wondrously...
Read moreJust over a month ago ... I finished work nearby ... and asked some people on the street if they knew of a non-franchise place that serves great coffee... they pointed me to Rythm and Brews! ... So I took the short trip up the road... and visited this lovely place... the service was great... A member of staff claimed with confidence that they serve the best coffee in London... So I ordered a Mocha ... which was good ... I gave it an 8/10 ... today I visited for the second time and the coffee has tasted much better ... 9/10 ... I would say they are not the best in London yet a very good one ... with potential to be the best ... However, I suspect some customers may consider it to be the best ... the decor and layout of the place is great... sandwiches look nice... yet to try them ... the location and surrounding area is great too... with a beautiful church nearby... will be back again for sure
Edit on 02/02/18 Have been back several times since my review above... Always have a mocha... And has always been excellent except once with probably a new barista... Maybe... Not sure... Anyway I'd say this is a top 5 coffee place in London with most likely the best coffee... Have yet to visit a few well known ones in London thought I'd say this is better than the ones I've tried so far and as good as my other favourite place... Not gonna say which one :)
Have had the sandwiches here... Very good... 8 to 9/10 along with a salad recently which was also nice
I love this place and the staff are great... Always friendly
Update (today's visit): In total been here maybe 15 times now.
Conclusion top 1 to 3 in London for Mocha when made by the owner or Steve (experienced barista)
Love the atmosphere here
Small note: dogs...
Read moreI must share the experience I had this morning as it was extremely unprofessional and humiliating. I still feel really shaken by it. I am a regular customer of Rhythm & Brews, I go there on the weekend to have brunch with friends or a coffee whilst reading my book. The atmosphere is very friendly, regular customers know each other and the waiters are fab. Probably the nicest coffee shop in Chiswick. I also know very well that the coffee shop has non-laptop areas and a one-hour rule laptop area. For the first time ever this morning, I wanted to use my laptop and had to ask for the wifi password. I had already ordered my breakfast and coffee and was waiting for it to arrive. I had the misfortune to ask for the password to the owner of the place who responded to me very abruptly that laptops are not allowed on weekends. She called me "rude" when I mentioned the "one-hour laptop" sign and when I said that it was fine, that I will have my coffee and go. The owner did not like my response and would not let go, shouting across the place that I was rude, came towards me and said "you should leave and have your coffee somewhere else sweetheart". I have never felt so humiliated in public before and was very upset by the whole situation that I had to leave the premises in tears. I would recommend to not go there if you are planning on using a laptop or when the owner is around. I also feel sorry for the staff who had to witness this "show"...
