As a lifelong Chelsea fan since childhood, stepping into Stamford Bridge for the first time on a stadium tour was nothing short of a dream come true. The experience was so overwhelming that I found myself holding back tears more than once—decades of fandom culminating in a moment that felt almost surreal. From the moment we started, the tour was everything I’d hoped for and more, made even better by our incredible tour guide, Roy.
Roy was the heart and soul of the experience. His deep connection to Chelsea shone through in every word—he’s been working at Stamford Bridge for decades, and you could feel the history in his stories. He wasn’t just a guide; he was a living link to the club’s past, sharing anecdotes with such passion and knowledge that it brought the place alive. Roy was incredibly knowledgeable, effortlessly weaving facts and insights about Chelsea’s history into every stop on the tour. Whether he was pointing out details in the dressing rooms, walking us through the players’ tunnel, or standing pitchside where legends have stood, he made it personal. His decades of service gave him an authenticity that resonated with me as a fan who’s cheered from afar for so long.
What stood out even more was Roy’s respectfulness. He was very, very respectful, not just of Chelsea, but of other teams too. He praised their achievements and spoke about football with a dignity that made me so proud to be a Chelsea fan. Seeing his values in action—honoring the sport and its history while still bleeding Blue—showed me that we Chelsea fans really are the best. It’s not just about the club’s success; it’s about the class and pride we carry, and Roy embodied that perfectly.
The tour itself was a treasure trove of emotions. Seeing the stands, the press room, and the pitch up close—places I’d only ever seen on TV—was like stepping into my own history with the club. I could almost hear the roar of the crowd as we stood by the dugouts. The museum was another highlight, with its trophies and relics tying together the Chelsea I grew up loving with the present day. It was hard not to get choked up seeing those Champions League trophies in person.
Roy’s storytelling elevated it all. He didn’t just recite facts; he shared what Stamford Bridge means to him after all these years, which hit me right in the heart as someone who’s dreamed of this visit since I was a kid. His warmth, humor, and respectful nature kept us engaged, and his knack for pointing out the best photo spots ensured I’ve got memories to cherish forever. For a first-time visitor and lifelong fan, this tour was pure magic—emotional, inspiring, and unforgettable. If you’re a Chelsea supporter, do it, and if you’re lucky enough to get Roy, you’re in for a treat from a true Blue who’s lived the club’s story and reflects the very best of what it means to be a...
Read moreAs a long standing CFC fan, seeing the stadium was unbelievable and breathtaking, however, it's amazingly unfortunate that the club seemingly want to push you through a tour as quickly as possible and spit you straight into the absurdly expensive megastore.
On the day, just beforehand, we did the Fulham FC tour, which was nothing short of brilliant, with tour guides that were excited to share the club's history and all the intricacies of the stadium, even the ticketing guy was excitable and wanted to keep us there. So my excitement to go from there to Stamford Bridge was huge! Thinking a club with a rich history and more cash than God would give an unreal tour and share as much info about the club as possible... and by Jebus was I wrong...
Our guides Max and Brian (who for some reason loved to remind us they were contractors) were un-excitable, disinterested, and seemingly reading off a script, taught us the bare basics about the club, and barely alluded to any of the club's history. On the tour, we learned more about the opposition players we've played against than our own team. Zero mention of Lampard, Zola, Hasselbaink, or any of other greats. Was truly unfortunate, and about as good a performance as we were against Nottingham the next day.
And finally, with 30-40 people on the tour (making it difficult to get a good photo of anything), coupled with it all being rushed to get us to the megastore as, I stated earlier, you honestly feel like a number. A 24hr flight, then tour of the club we wake up at 3am to watch play every week, feeling like you're simply business, is disappointing to say the least.
Half shattered i'm not a Fulham fan, but I love this club, and hopefully my rant isn't to no avail and strikes someone somewhere at Stamford Bridge so people doing the same can learn about the club, and leave the tour feeling proud and converting to or becoming a...
Read moreIn early February, we decided to visit Chelsea FC's stadium. For this purpose, we chose "The Stadium Tour and Museum" option. The friendly and helpful staff greeted us at the entrance to the museum. We didn't even have to show the e-tickets because our details were already in the museum database and the staffs were ready to meet us. It was very pleasant. It is possible to visit the museum before the tour. Therefore, I recommend you come in advance to have enough time to see the whole thing. The museum has many exhibits ranging from club trophies and historical items to stadium models and gifts from other teams. There are also interactive areas where you can try out a penalty kick or test your reaction as a goalkeeper. If you don't have time to explore everything in the museum, you can return to it again after the tour. After viewing the museum, the interesting tour of the stadium begins. It left us with amazing emotions and feelings. During the tour, the polite guide told us about the past, present, and future of his beloved stadium and club, and showed us the main areas of the stadium. So, we visited the conference room, the guest and home dressing rooms, and, of course, the stands with the playing field. After the tour, you can visit the club's shop with a huge range (very enjoyable for the club's fans), and also go back to the museum. Overall, we had only positive emotions from the tour. Therefore, I would strongly recommend everyone to visit the Chelsea FC Museum and Stadium, regardless of whether you are a fan of the...
