The Coral 21/10 Interesting play, each character well plaiyed, usually I hv 1-2 who r my fav but it was very hard 2 pick this time o-)... ESME was my fav as the passion she played with was Mesmerising, also Adam reminded me of young Damian Lewis 😍... smaller stage with direct connect 2the audience. Only thing I don't liked was  Unexpected Very Loud Shouting of the main guy Stuart  which was very often & disturbing.... Lady next 2 me (& not only her) Jumped Every time he done this. She was falling down sleep couple times so it was funny watching her... Venue : be aware of the 2staircases up 2 theatre & 3 staircases down 2wc... Bit hassle.... Wc r Extremely small inside each cubicle !!! I had hard time 2 close the doors aft I entered= Hitting my knee while doing that... Who design this?! BTW wc & closing doors is only 5cm left?!

Just saw the MOST amazing show at the @finborough theatre. BANGING DENMARK by Van Badham. Such incredible writing. It deserves to be seen by larger audiences. It has reinvigorated my feelings towards theatre (which have been in decline). The cast really did a superb job! See it!

The theatre space is what you would expect - intimate and engaging. so good independent theatre BUT the reason for my lower rating is that this is not pub theatre. If you look on the Contact page you'll see that the pub downstairs is shut (it may have re-opened as a restaurant since) Pub theatre is special because you can relax in the bar until the play starts and take your drinks upstairs with you. (And continue after the show!) This isn't an option at the moment (into the future?). The suggestion of bringing something from a local off-licence isn't really practical unless everyone wants to share the same thing. And drinks in another bar before or after isn't the same experience. There was absolutely nothing on offer in the theatre - not even a bar with limited options. I did let management know that this should be clearer when booking tickets and they did offer me an exchange (which I couldn't use) but I still don't see anything to clarify this...

This theatre punches way above its weight with its productions. 5*. But it needs to be bought up to safe and acceptable standards for the patrons. Just before the start of the play, and with patrons absolutely crammed in, another 3 people with tickets arrived. Everyone was moved closer and those 3 were seated but it was impossible to move your arms at all. The air was stifling and way hotter than in the stairwell (the usher said the ventilation was on) and in that crammed space, fanning yourself with anything was not possible. The seating is very uncomfortable benches with no space underneath for coats/umbrellas etc. hence, the escape route along each row was impassable in a fire emergency with coats and umbrellas. I hope this theatre thrives but it has a responsibility to be fair and safe...
