Honestly, I don't understand the positive reviews. This was not good. The wine was the only positive thing about it. Firstly, we were sat so close to the sliding door to the toilet and had to keep moving out of the way so people could get in and out. Then the food...I had a Caprese salad, which turned up without fresh basil or olive oil, and was very tasteless. We also had two of the soggiest pizzas I've ever seen, both underwhelming in terms of flavour. I had a napoletana which, despite the anchovies, was bland. I asked for pepper and chilli oil to try and boost the flavour but even that didn't help. The 4 cheese pizza was so soggy, it was like soup and was devoid of at least two of the cheeses. And the rocket salad turned up again without any dressing of oil or balsamic, just dry leaves, cherry tomatoes, red onion and cheap jarred black olives. We had to add chilli oil to make it palatable. When we were asked if we wanted to take the uneaten pizzas home, we said no and explained that we didn't enjoy the pizza (we'd been sat waiting for service for about 15 minutes by this point), the plates were just taken away by the surly waitress and when we asked for the bill, we were still charged full price for the meal. I hate paying for bad food, especially when I've been so looking forward to eating. I've had better pizza at Pizza Express!! Both of us have come home feeling very sick. Really disappointed and won't be returning. As per the response below, it's quite clear they're not open to feedback on their food or their service.

Beautiful once again! This was our second time dining here, and it will for sure not be the last. The food was, as always, gorgeous - we got the special dessert they had for the week (?) and words cannot describe how utterly delightful it was. Super delicate on the palate, but the strawberries on the top gave a nice contrast to balance it out. Mouth is currently watering as I write this. The mains and starters were of an extremely high quality too, I don’t think I ever ate ravioli as quickly as I did then. If ‘beautiful’ was an adequate word for food, that is definitely what I would use to describe it. Furthermore, the staff was a pleasure as always. The manager would make jokes and small talk with practically everyone, thanking people when they left. He was an absolute joy to have around. The environment was also extremely clean and the atmosphere was warm and comfortable. Personally, I can’t properly enjoy a meal if I feel like the place is filthy or sticky, so I was more than happy when I saw how clean the place was. Napkins were replaced for the meal, which is always a plus since not many places do that anymore. The food would come on pristine plates, and couldn’t look any better. I know I look like I’m rambling, but I hate looking at reviews that don’t go into depth about how good a place is!! Listen, if you cannot be bothered to read everything I wrote just read this: come here!!! Beautiful atmosphere, lovely staff and food to die for. An overall 10/10, as always.

Ordered from here as our usual place was not open. The norcina was wet with pools of liquid on the pizza and the pollo classic was not much better and was quite soggy. We are 0.4 mile away so this is not a case of it went bad in transit. The vegetables and sauce did all taste very fresh but we just felt the sauce should have been reduced and the mushrooms precooked before being put on the pizza to go in the oven, it's quite clear that that is all the liquid must have come from. The garlic focaccia was not focaccia, but actually pizza bread, this should be advertised as garlic pizza bread. I recognise this is a new place so i will give it the benefit of the doubt, it might still be finding its feet but Crystal palace has a lot of great pizza restaurants, so they need to up their game. Maybe the rest of their menu is better but this was below average pizza for Crystal Palace.

The following review is an opinion, my opinion. It’s not personal, it’s just my perception of reality. I hope that exempts me from a sassy and distasteful comeback from the management.

Came for dinner recently for a friends birthday. It’s very small, a little too small which for me, spoils the vibe.

Had some mussels and a pizza. The mussels did not taste fresh, actually quite unpleasant and anaemic looking. They were masked by a delicious sauce but not enough bread to soak it up.

The pizza, to be honest, was bang average. I enjoyed it, hard not to enjoy a pizza, but nothing to write home about and not quite what I was expecting, based off the rave reviews.

The staff were pleasant and ensured we were comfortable. But there was a rather miserable looking chap slumped at a table by the door, I think he might have been the manager. His greeting wasn’t very warm and he kind of felt a bit like a gargoyle sat at the entrance, maybe he was reading and replying to reviews (speculation).

All in all, we had fun and it wasn’t a bad meal, just not what I was expecting based on peoples high opinion. I think there are better places to grab pizza on the triangle.

Not sure I’ll visit again but glad I gave it a go. If I do go back, I’ll bring the gargoyle a box of chocolate and a hot water bottle to warm him up.

I’m a millennial so I like to take pointless photos of my food, but I’ll be damned if I waste my iCloud storage on smelly mussels and average pizza, so you’ll have to just take my...
