I visited Cocktail Embassy on Friday night, and my experience was disappointing from start to finish. First, the drinks were severely overpriced – you would expect that at least the service would be top-notch for what you pay, but unfortunately, it was anything but that. The customer service was truly appalling. I was on my way to the toilet and noticed the disabled toilet was occupied. After waiting briefly, I intended to use it once it became free, not only to adjust my undergarments but also because I genuinely qualify to use the disabled facilities. When I asked, the bartender—a skinny blonde who shakes cocktails like she's got maracas—begrudgingly allowed me in, commenting that she "shouldn’t really let anyone in there" but said to be quick. I used the toilet for maybe a minute, only to overhear her loudly telling the bar staff, “I let one person use the toilet, now someone else is in there taking long
she’s just taking the piss now.” The fact that this was said loudly enough for other patrons to hear, resulting in onlookers watching as I came out, was absolutely humiliating. Her rude, dismissive, and downright demeaning behaviour was nothing short of disgraceful. No customer should ever be subjected to such treatment, and it’s clear that this staff member could benefit from extensive customer service training. Furthermore, locking the disabled toilet is a clear accessibility issue. Not all disabilities are visible, and requiring people to ask for access is stigmatizing, especially given that the male and female toilets aren’t locked. This isn’t equality. Cocktail Embassy should consider this and keep the disabled toilet unlocked to avoid singling out individuals. Overall, my experience was a stark reminder of the lack of basic respect and inclusivity in this establishment. I wouldn’t recommend Cocktail Embassy to anyone who expects decent service or fair treatment.

Very nice cocktails. However I attended on Friday 21st at 5pm as I entered the bar I was basically 'jump upon' by the girl from behind the bar who told me that they were not open so I must leave, when I queried why she then said that they were not open even though the door was unlocked and it was 5pm. She made me feel awful! Her colleage then arrived on the floor and then all of a sudden she changed her mind and said oh sorry we are open. I Couldn't work out if the girl behind the bar either couldn't tell the time or didn't want me in there due to my ethnicity, either way she was rude and unwelcoming! 24/06/24 edit! Whether a 'simply mistake' or not you do not make potential customers feel unwelcome and THERE IS NO EXCUSE for rudeness! Maybe customer service training would be a good idea!

I attended for my birthday which was suppose to be an enjoyable event with friends and family. I will not make a fuss about how long it took to get the attention of a member of staff as i had been informed previously that service wasnt the best there.

I had booked a table for 10 but was given a table that seated 6. When i informed that my booking was for 10, i was told that there was nothing that can be done. Seats were then dragged across from other empty booths. I stated that i was quite disappointed and was told that it was a ‘free booking’. I stated that my friends and I had planned to spend money and was told ‘so will everyone else’. Although i was quite disappointed I continued with my night.

While at the bar ordering drinks one of my friends was made to feel uncomfortable by another customer who was obviously quite drunk but made a racist remark. This was witnessed by a member of staff. When asked to speak to the manager that particular member of staff stated that he was the manager and continued to pour drinks. He shrugged his shoulders and said absolutely nothing to the racist customer.

I guess its easy to pick and choose what is considered racist, when you are not on the recieving end of it. However, when a customer is clearly distressed, (due to any comments, not just racist ones) something should be done. I do not expect any response to this, i just hope that there is...

I frequent this bar every once in a while, and the staff are always welcome me, the level of service is Above & Beyond what you would expect in a cocktail bar in South London. The bar is of a central London standard, I would even go as far as comparing it to a private members club, which is what this bar remind me of. Cocktails are made quickly and expertly. No doubt you will see Paulina (expert bar tender), there ever smiling which makes the day much better when you go for a drink.

All the staff greet you at the door, you can reserve a table but they will seat you if a table is available. They will ask you where you would like to sit, and you have tableservice, you can have a tab which is good. Water is also available to have with your drink and they will quickly refill if required, sometimes without you even realising it, and this is water with a decent size of cucumber and ice.

All in all the services above and beyond, and if you want a very nice chilled night out with very good music, this is the place to go to and in addition to all of this, Friday and Saturday they have a nightclub downstairs, so you can also shake a leg.

Come down one day, you won’t be disappointed.

And thank you to the owners, a very nice couple who have made this...
