This place is wonderful. The food quality, the service and everything is amazing This was my third visit and omg they are just as good as possible. The price comparing to other persian restaurants are amazing and the quality is among top 3 places I have been in the UK. We travel for an hour every time and it definitely worths the time and money. We were served by a lovely young man which I forgot his name but everything there is amazing. Definitely try their chicken kebab, Kashk bademjan(if you love eggplants and walnuts)and felafel. And the Dough God:) This pictures are for my second visit. The last visit didn’t last enough for picss😁. The portions are huge we always take them away home for another day meal. If you share one is enough for 2 maybe with extra Nan or Rice.

Blink and you'll miss the one doorway to this restaurant (it has no shop front). It also has stairs and no lift so could be difficult to get down for some. The greeting at the bottom wasn't exactly welcoming, but once we were sat down, the waitress was superb. There's a £4 corkage charge per bottle of wine and the food came quickly. The halloumi salad was delicious, and the chicken kebabs was tasty but lacking flavour....I added the garlic sauce which was nice but I needed some mints after leaving as it was stronger that I thought! I'd seem other reviews about this place only taking cash, but they do have a card reader now.

I brought an Iranian visitor to Kishmish. She told me that the name of the restaurant means ā€˜raisin’ in Persian. An endearing name for this little plum of an eatery tucked behind Crystal Palace Parade. Watch out though - there is a very steep staircase leading down to the restaurant. The food was really tasty and we enjoyed the bread made on the premises. We had a range of dips and then shared the kebab platter. The lamb pieces kebab was so delicious. We had our Persian tea out on the open-air terrace on what was an outrageously balmy late September evening. Top marks.

I visited this hidden but inviting little go to spot. Food is tasty and good price for money and nice romantic and cosy. Seated right near the hot grill( reminded me of a sauna) but menu and prices looked great. My sister took me here for a birthday dinner and I was very happy with her choice. However service was very poor. The young lady who is waitress/host or whatever she is. Kept taking random trips into space leaving us neglected for 15 sometimes 25 minutes at a time without even checking on us. To make matters worse on atleast 8 occasions I had to put one hand up(as if I was in school) to get her intention. Now despite these things, I went to visit a week later as the food was amazing and I wanted to just assume that was a one off. We entered the cosy hideaway and attempted to navigate at the back of the restaurant as we had previously been placed right next to the hot stove. We were met with what appeared to be the owner who stop us in our tracks and ushered us right back to the same seat as previous. I began to explain the situation as to why we wanted a seat at the back and was abruptly told , that that was the only seat available along with a window seat that's was clearly the walk way and seated directly outside the toilet. When we asked again we were Abruptly told that there were no other tables ( other then for the benefit of doubt given for reservation), the place was near empty at 4 on a weekday!!! We asked again if we could sit at the back and was told no( was given no actual valid reason) , owner/ Joe blow pretty much pushed us towards the stairs! Unacceptable so we decided to take our services elsewhere as did not feel welcome and clearly our money was not good enough that time round! All good and well having inviting decor, but without inviting staff members I will not be going back there! Unnessacary situation that did not need to happen and has now left...

We were very excited to start with. Culturally aware of the nice food, we headed to Kishmish. Food was average. Absolute lack of salad. Sauce- a murky greasy water ( what was that supposed to be?). Rice was fine. Chicken leg was dry and sweet, lamb shank was perfectly done. The downside- the service....We asked if we could have a lamb shank instead of the chicken leg. The waitress expressed her opinion on how weird it would be to have a lamb on that sort of rice and then came back from the kitchen with the same view from the chef apparently. Well, it's us who are eating, so I guess their job is to please a customer instead of make it more unpleasant. Eventually we had to take two separate dishes and literally swap the meat with each other. Next, the hidden charge for bringing your own wine ( £3.50)- absurd. The hidden service charge 10%. I am well aware of the service charge to be an optional charge. We paid just over the half of the charge and were confronted by the waitress that we didn't pay enough. Now, is she playing dumb or is she not trained? I pointed out that the bill receipt must indicate that the service charge is not compulsory. Embarrassing! We will not...

Vegans and Vegetarians avoid this place!!!!! So it turns out the food they label vegan and vegetarian on their menu are cooked on exactly the same grill as they do all the meat. When we raised this with them, the answer was they can leave a gap in between the meat and the vegetables while they cook the grilled vegetables. They should not misslead anyone on the menu how they prepare the food. No vegan and vegetarian food should be prepared and cooked with the same pots, knifes etc. and cooked on the same grill. The waitress’ kind answer was when we could not identify any food that prepared with respect of vegans and vegetarians: Eat salad then or bread….For the birthday cake, they gave us plastic forks and plates. Absolutely awful!!!! The rest of the party who could actually order food ended up waiting 1 and a half hours before they got served the starters. The main was delivered without the waiter taking the plates away so there was no room to eat comfortably. We ended up cleaning up the table to make room…. yeah, no way we will ever come back...
