Magnificent piece of sublime history. Spent a day walking around enjoying every alcove and detail of this priceless gem of Christendom.
Took a tour with Verger Alice who's knowledge and love of her Abbey was splendid and enlightening. Great decision. It's so easy think we know everything we need to know about history. As an old world weary architect and keen student of history I was astounded how little I actually knew. Learned so much and ended up with a deeper more passionate love and understanding of Westminster Abbey.
