Unfortunately, VisaHQ lied to me, offered bad advice, and almost lost some documentation. In future, I will apply directly to the embassy if I need a travel visa, because VisaHQ is simply more costly, and adds an additional communication barrier between the client and the embassy.
I used VisaHQ to get a visa for Bangladesh to do some voluntary work. I met with them, and the agent I spoke with insisted I needed a research visa which was harder to get and would take longer to arrive, and they said I was ineligible for a travel visa that was easier and quicker to get. This later turned out to be untrue. The agent also said there was no way I could get an âOn Arrival Visaâ upon landing in Bangladesh. This also transpired to be untrue.
I received a phone call from the embassy, who asked me to come to their offices. They explained that the visa was not yet ready, but they returned my passport since they no longer needed it, but my application was still being processed. VisaHQ then emailed me to say my application had been withdrawn because I was returned my passport - and I would have to pay for a new application, if I still wanted to go.
I returned to the embassy to ask about making a new application, and they told me that my previous application had not been withdrawn, and that VisaHQ had been dishonest, and I nearly spent over ÂŁ100 on an application I didnât actually need.
The High Commission also stated I needed my payment slip to collect the visa, something VisaHQ had kept. I asked VisaHQ for it and they said âwe donât know where it is, we need to find itâ. 10 days later, I managed to get it back. Thankfully this didnât affect my travel plans as I inquired a couple of weeks before my flight.
Using VisaHQ simply makes the process more expensive, prolonged, creates an additional communication barrier, and gives bad advice and donât really understand what theyâre talking about. In future, I would recommend applying for visas directly to the relevant embassies.
TL;DR The agents at VisaHQ told me my application was cancelled when it wasnât, told me to pay for a new application, and almost made me cancel my trip because they spent 10 days finding my...
Read moreMy company decided to use visahq for corporate consular services. I was asked to apply for an India visa through them and the whole experience was very painful.
Here are some of my complaints
the inital webform used to complete your details is very badly designed and covered in spelling errors, which doesn't fill me with confidence from the start.
they did not advise my company that we also needed a cert of incorporation which caused more delay to add this to the doc stack.
They did not advise us properly on how to address the India consulate in our letters.
I was asked to drop off my passport at their London office which is not their office - it's a shared space that anyone can enter. The front desk receptionist offered to take my passport and docs from me but I said with all due respect I would like to give them directly to visahq.
communications by phone is very poor, they have outsourced their call centre to a bunch of offshore guys who clearly just open a ticket and give updates. It was very hard to get to anyone close visahq.
when u do call they give out all your details without going through any kind of security. You just need the order number and they are happy give out all sorts of information.
Their support email is not properly setup and disallowed me from contacting them as they have not set up thieir anti spam systems properly to allow legitimate company's like our to send.
However the worst part though was that I didn't get a clear message about how to collect my visa and passport once it was issued despite multiple (desperate) messages as I was travelling less than 24 hrs later.
And then to cap it all I turned up at their shared office hoping it might be there and was asked my surname by the shared office receptionist. He then gave me an envelope with my passport in there was no security, noone checked my photo etc..
Shocking security processes and a very unprofessional way of working means I will be recommending my company look to an alternative partner for...
Read moreYou have not kept to the express service deadline we paid for. You failed to update us until Thursday afternoon, the day before the flight. Now we get told the visa is late and might be expected Friday after waiting for the whole week.
We are extremely angry with the service Visa HQ have provided. We paid for an express service and Surjit has taken time out of work to visit you twice. He dropped the documents expecting your office to know the process. However sadly you did not and asked for him to attend again in person, which makes it clear that you did not understand how the Ukraine embassy works. Victoria at Visa HQ should have been realistic about the expected date of collection, and even said that it should have been here by now when we kept calling.
You can withdraw the visa and refund all money including the flight and hotel we paid for. We will not settle for anything less or I will get my solicitor to file a claim for this against your company and add compensation for wasting our time.
We have too many emails and phone calls chasing your company again and again, it's completely unacceptable. I gave you another phone call yesterday to push for an update, Victoria was was too relaxed about it all, she has zero understanding that the company failed to provide an express service with no warning of it being delayed. Your company has no regards to its customer and how you manage their requests.
BOTTOM LINE - this company will take your money and get lazy at their desk. You have to call them everyday to make sure you get an update. They clearly don't know every embassy procedure and have just said the visa is late.
Do not use this company. We tried to call their office as suggested by the last review reply by Tatiana, it's no use they can not help. It's...
