At sainsbburys, I’m 27 years old with a full beard and I don’t look young yet they asked me for ID to buy energy drinks in the morning after I purchase them actively here. There’s 6 people who serve me at night time. The manager is absolutely garbage and unprofessional. I haven’t been asked for Id since I was 20 for anything and it doesn’t make sense in the slightest. The manager has literally no qualities of being a manager and he was being difficult with what I offered to show him ID on my phone. Deep down he knew I was over the age of 25 but he felt as if had to support his colleagues decision and this rubbish manager couldn’t speak up and control the situation. absolutely disgusted. Teens purchase alcohol and cigarettes yet the least harmful thing to consume out of those would be energy drinks. I don’t understand, it has the highest requirement to obtain. Where’s the logic in this and when someone looks like they’re in that age bracket of 25, that should be more than enough to serve as how many other stores tend to abide by. Many photos of The O2 centre. Has escalators, elevator, book shop and a bunch of restaurants including gym and a cinema. At the lowest ground you can find a big sainsburys which also includes clothes and other random things to shop for. Amazing mini mall like experience. I come here a lot as I am a local resident and this would be my local store. The O2 centre also offers free wifi and the public toilets are a little small and tends to be shut majority of the time. Overall it’s not super large but it’s still a wonderful and pleasant experience to venture inside.

The 02 Centre located on Finchley Road about 200 meters from Finchley Road underground station is a small modern shopping centre great for families, couples and groups looking for dinning (14 restaurants), coffee and movie theatre options. It features good options for families including phone charging stations, pram areas and a Gymboree for children. Furthermore, it offers extensive free parking. To get the shopper tariff, your ticket must be stamped by one of the O2 Centre's retailers, including gym, cinema or any of our restaurants. The 02 Centre fashion and homeware options are limited to Habitat, Waterstones, Oliver Bonas, Homebase and BoConcept - not making it is a great spot for shopping due to the limited variety. The 02 Centre offers a huge Sainsburys which is open until 11.59PM Monday to Saturday. It also features a Virgin Active which requires full membership and a Vue cinema which is modern and offers 12 screens.

Small but pleasant shopping centre very near Finchley Road tube station. The skylight roof always reminds me of Ken Adam's volcano set from the Bond movie You Only Live Twice. There's a decent Vue cinema with 12 screens on the first floor and on other floors both Aldi and Sainsbury supermarkets which are both open till 11pm weekday evenings. Very handy for after cinema shopping! Unfortunately the centre was devastated by Covid and never fully recovered, losing many restaurants. The Homebase at the back of the Centre has also disappeared. However, plans are underway to rejuvenate the Centre and the surrounding area, though I'm not quite sure how long this will take.

My trip to the O2 Mall was quite an experience, and sadly, not in a good way. I ventured there to catch a movie, but from the moment I arrived, it was clear that this mall was in a state of neglect.

The first thing that struck me was the overall appearance. The mall looked tired and in desperate need of a facelift. The maintenance seemed lacking, with flickering lights and peeling paint in some areas, which immediately set a disappointing tone.

Navigating the mall wasn't much better. Signage was confusing, making it a challenge to find my way around. It felt like a maze, and I ended up wandering aimlessly before finally locating the cinema.

Once I reached the cinema, I hoped that at least the movie experience would redeem the visit. However, even there, I encountered issues. The seating was uncomfortable, and the sound quality left much to be desired.

In summary, my trip to the O2 Mall was a letdown. It appeared to be poorly maintained, with a lack of attention to detail. While I went there to see a movie, the overall atmosphere and experience left much to be desired. It's safe to say I won't be returning...
