Piano Kensington — Restaurant in London

Wanted to take my boy friend to a piano bar for his birthday. This one was right next to our resturant so worked out perfectly. The door is quite hidden on the street, so unless you know what you are looking for you might miss it. Once through the door you go up some stairs and get your bag searched, then you're by the bar. We then started looking at were we could sit as the place isn't very big but gairly full and a lot of the tables had reserve signs so weren't sure if we could sit at them. The bar lady then asked if she could help us, and we asked about seating. She said it was ok to go on those tables but they are booked for someone at a certain time so we would have to get off them. So this worked well for us, so we order drinks and day down. We sat right next to the piano, if you really want there are stools around the piano so you can sit around it. Amazing atmosphere!! Drink prices are ok, considering it is High Street Kensington and place is in the hotel, I expected it will be pricy and turned out to be pretty normal! Which I think is great :) Person who plays on the piano is really talented! Can play any song, super impressed with quality!! I arrived there with big group of friends and we had table booked, no issues with booking and all was smooth! Sooo booking was for Halloween night, so since it is a special night was a bit worried that we will lose the table because we were late… manager was kind enough to to keep table for us 🙏🙏🙏 Great service, really nice people around :)

One of the worst experiences that I have ever had. We were treated in a way like we were going to walk out without paying. Not only me but a few other customers there felt a bit harassed. One customer even told them that he wanted to order something but he left wanted left alone.

We smoke and step down to the smoking area, and we were chased down to ask for our Credit card because they didn't trust us? When I came back my drink which i had left on the bar was gone, because the manage r said he thought I was gone. It was jist very uncomfortable, again, I am not sure what kind of customer they are used...
