Ugh...where to start? As a treatment I've found it quite effective so far which is why I continue to go...but I don't quite know what the problem is here...there's always SOME issue!
The first time I went I absolutely loved it, it helped my cough, my chest felt clearer than it had in months and I was very happy. I went back in person to book a block of sessions and use one then. It was just after 5pm and the last session is from 7-8pm so I went in time for the 5.30pm session only to be told that I could pay for the block but couldn't have a session because she had already cleaned it because she didn't know anyone was coming. When I questioned the timing online she just shrugged and said thats how it is in summer. I left and rebooked for the weekend.
I was halfway to that Saturday session (I live an hours drive away) and another lady called me and said she had a toothache so needed to leave early so had to cancel my session because nobody else was available.
Then today when I went, we were sat in there and after half an hour nothing was happening...it was like there was no salt in the room and the 4 of us in there all said the same thing. 2 of the other ladies went to talk to the lovely receptionist who had only been working there a few days so she didn't know what the problem was, she was amazing; she tried a few things but to no avail. She offered us to go in the kids room but it was too small to accommodate all of us. All in all a total waste of time today but she did give us that session back plus a free session as compensation.
So all in all the place is a bit hit and miss, most of the staff are really friendly, when the thing works the treatment is good but this is the 3rd time out of 5 that something has gone wrong for me and I'm not here for fun, I'm here for health reasons....and it isn't cheap so something needs to be done a bit better so the place can be run a...
Read moreI was visiting London from the States and my asthma suddenly got really bad and I was headed to the hospital for treatment when my wife stumbled upon The Salt Cave and I had heard of salt helping asthma but I had never tried it but I was desperate and so I booked an appointment and after only one session I could breathe easier and less coughing all night. After being up for 2 nights in a row not sleeping and barely breathing. After 5 sessions I wasn’t even wheezing anymore and no more coughing! I couldn’t believe it! How could salt do this but it’s breaking up all the mucus and one day I coughed up so much stuff all day but it came up so easily with a gentle cough and it all came out and I just finished my last (10th session) and I feel amazing and sleep like a baby and no music left and I never use my inhaler. I have to find a salt cave in the states because I’d much rather do this with a flare up of my asthma than go to the hospital or get drugs from my doctor. But maybe I won’t have anymore flare ups ever again! Thanks also to the amazing staff especially Angela who was always welcoming and friendly and helpful with many questions and with booking my sessions. Couldn’t recommend...
Read moreThis company has, for around the past 10 years, been sending me marketing SMS texts. I have called asking them to delete me from their database but they refuse.
I have only ever attended one session & have no intention of returning. Their texts come directly to my inbox with no way of blocking the number they originate from.
The latest has just arrived (31/12/24 at 15.40) and is as unwelcome as all previous ones. I would recommend people think twice before giving them a mobile number as you will be hounded.
UPDATE / EDIT: Extremely disappointed to see the rude reply that The Salt Cave has posted to my review effectively placing blame on me. As my original photo shows, it is absolutely NOT possible to respond to any of their texts; this is something that cannot be done when the sender switches off caller ID. Point me to where a number is shown or a 'reply' button? You can't because neither option is there. Not a gd look to have replied like this.
FUTHER EDIT: The Salt Cave subsequently deleted the rude reply referenced in my previous update / edit. ...
