Stern Pissarro Gallery — Attraction in London

I wish I was able to give Stern Pissarro more than just five stars because my recent experience purchasing a painting online from this Gallery was simply extraordinary! Looking for a painting by a particular artist, an internet search showed Stern Pissarro had exactly what I was looking for, but they're in London and I'm in New York, and the thought of buying a painting without first seeing it in person initially seemed like sheer lunacy to me. I nevertheless contacted the Gallery, and they immediately understood my concern about the accuracy of the color images I was seeing online, and, in additon to numerous high resolution photos, sent me a video, and then arranged a Skype session where I could view the painting and could see the colors and was thus able to confirm that it was what I had been searching for! (And, for peace of mind, they assured me that if the painting was not what I thought once it arrived in the States, or if, for any reason whatsoever, I wasn't satisfied, I could simply send it back for a full refund!). As people who know me can attest, I'm not an easy person to please, and in the course of a week and a half, I must have had thirty or forty emails back and forth with the Gallery, asking them so many questions I wondered how they had time for any other customer, but every query received a prompt, thorough and professional response. Once I made the leap and decided to purchase the painting, they made the process of paying for the painting and shipping it to New York -- which could easily have been a stressful and anxious experience -- as simple as going to the corner grocery to buy a loaf of bread! And then, I threw them a real curve ball -- I changed the delivery address while the painting was in transit. It could have been very easy for them to tell me that it wasn't possible to change the delivery instructions once the painting was over the Atlantic, but they didn't flinch and worked tirelessly with the shipping company to change the delivery address and somehow, incredibly, got the painting to the new address on the originally promised delivery date! And while I believe they use a third party shipper, I've got to compliment them on their choice of vendor, because the crate holding the painting was itself a work of art, and held and protected the painting so well I'm sure it could have been dropped from the plane to my apartment and would have landed in tact. And the best part of the story, I'm in love with the painting, and really appreciate everyone at Stern Pissarro working so hard to make it happen. So, if you see something at the Gallery, either in person or online, that you like, I can assure you that you can purchase it with full confidence and peace of mind that you're dealing with professionals who know what they're doing and who will treat you fairly and with respect, and, most importantly, who want you to be satisfied even more than they want to make another sale. Bought a painting online from here In Nov last year. When it arrived I wasn’t 100% happy with it so sent it straight back for a refund. They told me that was fine and would issue a refund. To cut a long story short, 4 days, 2 phone calls & many emails later my money was still not returned.
