The nearest tube is Green Park which is on the Jubilee (Silver line)

Victoria line (Light blue) or the

Piccadilly (Royal blue)

Green Park is one of the Royal Parks in central London, located near Buckingham Palace. It’s a peaceful, tree-lined area known for its simplicity and natural beauty. A walk through the park takes you directly to -The Mall Buckingham Palace.

At the top end, near Green park tube station you will find -The Ritz and across the road is Mayfair.

Turn right out of the tube station takes you to -Fortnum and Mason and Piccadilly Circus.

Straight across the road is -New Bond Street.

I didn’t know that Green Park was originally a burial ground for lepers from the nearby St. James’s Hospital!

It became a Royal Park in the 16th century and was later landscaped into its current form.

There is a Canada Memorial, a tribute to Canadian soldiers who served in the two World Wars. Date of experience: December 2024 Highly recommend a stroll through St James Park and Green Park whilst the Coexistence display of elephants is on.

Visited the beginning of July to experience this iconic exhibition which was fantastic to see. They have been beautifully crafted and really are a sight to see in their individuality and herd form.

This is one of the Royal Parks of London situated between Hyde Park to the west Buckingham Palace Garden to the south and St. James Park to the southwest. It covers an area of around 16 hectares (40 acres) of rural grounds and green space for residents and visitors to the city to enjoy. At Green Park, you will find a more natural use of the designed rural grounds, not much in the form of planted flowerbeds, lakes, museum and other buildings like what you find in greater concentration in other Royal Parks around the city. Instead, Green Park is better defined by its paved walkways lined with tall and mature trees. It is a good spot for casual stroll, watching birdlife and what seems like an endless number of squirrels at times. There are war era memorials near Hyde Park Corner as well as near the Canada Gate, park benches as well as a kiosk for those who need a coffee or light...

Nestled gracefully next to Buckingham Palace, The Green Park stands as a verdant oasis amidst the hustle and bustle of central London. Sprawling expansively over 40 acres, this lush haven is a testament to the city's commitment to preserving its natural beauty.

As you enter The Green Park, you are immediately enveloped in a sea of greenery. Towering trees stretch their branches towards the sky, providing welcome shade on sunny days and creating a serene atmosphere that feels a world away from the urban chaos just beyond the park's borders. The vastness of the park allows for leisurely strolls, invigorating runs, or peaceful picnics amidst nature's embrace.

One of the most enchanting aspects of The Green Park is its outer walls, adorned with beautiful paintings of London by local sellers. These vibrant artworks offer a unique glimpse into the city's rich history and diverse culture, capturing iconic landmarks such as Big Ben, the Tower Bridge, and the majestic Buckingham Palace itself. As you meander along the perimeter of the park, you'll find yourself drawn to these captivating images, each one a testament to the artistic talent and boundless creativity of London's vibrant community.

Beyond its natural beauty and artistic allure, The Green Park also serves as a cherished gathering place for locals and visitors alike. Families frolic on the grassy lawns, children laugh and play on the playgrounds, and friends gather for leisurely picnics beneath the shade of ancient trees. It's a place where strangers become friends, and the stresses of everyday life melt away in the tranquil embrace of nature.

In essence, The Green Park is more than just a park—it's a sanctuary in the heart of London, where the beauty of nature intertwines seamlessly with the vibrant energy of urban life. Whether you're seeking solace amidst the trees, inspiration from the surrounding artwork, or simply a moment of respite from the chaos of the city, The Green Park offers an experience that is truly...

It offers a peaceful environment away from the hustle and bustle of central London while still being in central London, right next to Buckingham Palace in fact!

Stretching north and west from Buckingham Palace is Green Park. a triangular public park linking the palace to Picadilly and Hyde Park Corner. Green Park is one of eight royal parks in London (the others being Richmond Park, Bushy Park, Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, Greenwich Park, Regents Park and neighbouring St James Park).

In spite of this prominence, Green Park in London, UK, is only 40 acres, which makes it the smallest of all the royal parks. With this being said, it’s certainly the most serene of all London’s royal parks and is often compared to the British countryside.

but, once upon a time- and, it’s hard to believe that it was once a burial ground for patients of the hospital at St James’s that died of leprosy. Even once the space had been transformed into a royal park in the 18th century, it was still a hotspot for thieves and highwaymen.

Green Park is the setting for Royal Gun Salutes, marking special royal occasions such as state visits, the monarch's official Birthday, Accession Day, The Prince of Wales' Birthday, and the State Opening of Parliament. Salutes are usually fired at noon and consist...
