Disappointing Experience at TeamSport Docklands – Would Not Recommend We visited the TeamSport Docklands branch with a group of 9 people, and unfortunately, the experience did not live up to our expectations. We paid over £200 for a Go-Karting session with a discount, but even at half price, it was not worth it, especially considering the issues we encountered. Unfair Treatment of Participants The most frustrating part of the experience was that 3 of our group were sent off the track without warning during a 40-lap race. One person was pulled off within the first 10 laps, and all 3 were sent off without a chance to make amends for any mistakes. Many of our group were new to Go-Karting or hadn't raced in a while, so it was frustrating to see them penalized so quickly, without any opportunity to adjust or improve. We felt that the umpires unfairly targeted our group, which made the whole experience feel even more discouraging. Lack of Practice/Testing Time The package we booked included practice/test laps, which would have been helpful for our group, especially for those who were new to Go-Karting. Unfortunately, the test laps were either cut short or not provided at all, and we started the race earlier than scheduled. If we'd had the proper practice time, it would have allowed our group to get comfortable with the karts and track, potentially avoiding some of the mistakes that led to early disqualifications. Not Worth the Price Considering the amount we paid (even with the discount), the overall value of the experience was not there. If we had paid full price, which would have been close to £500, we would have been even more disappointed. The fact that 3 of our group didn’t even complete 20 laps really detracted from the experience, especially when we paid for a full session. Conclusion Overall, we were very disappointed with our visit to TeamSport Docklands. The experience was frustrating, and the way our group was treated left a lot to be desired. Given the amount we paid and the issues we encountered, we don’t feel this experience was worth the money. We would not recommend this location, and we are currently seeking a partial refund for the poor experience.

Had a mixed experience at Go Karting Docklands over the weekend. Let’s start with the positives— the staff were fantastic, really friendly and welcoming, and the space itself felt modern and well-designed. There’s plenty to do beyond just go-karting, which makes it a cool venue overall. That said, as a casual visitor, the pricing didn’t feel great value. £49.99 got us two go-karting sessions, but with the way things played out, we barely got 10 minutes of actual racing per session. The track was overcrowded with around 16 or more people, and a lot of them were driving like absolute maniacs—bumping into others, ignoring the rules, and generally making it a frustrating experience. Because of this, the race kept getting paused, with long stretches of orange light where we had to crawl at walking speed. Between all the stops and starts, it felt like we spent more time standing around than actually racing. After our first session, we were made to wait about 20 minutes in the bar area, which felt a bit random. Speaking of the bar, I tried to order an oat milk latte, but they didn’t stock any plant-based milks, which in London in 2025 feels pretty outdated. The second session was much better, thankfully. They removed four guys who were driving recklessly, and that made a huge difference. We finally got to experience a proper race with uninterrupted laps, and it was loads of fun. The electric karts are brilliant—way better than petrol-powered ones, smooth and responsive to drive. The location is… interesting. It’s right by the Thames Barrier, and the surrounding area is pretty bleak. There was even a burst sewer pipe at the entrance, making the whole place reek. The general vibe was very post-apocalyptic dystopian, which was oddly fitting in a way. Overall, it was fun, but the experience felt a bit chaotic. I’d consider going again, but maybe as a member to see if that makes it more worthwhile.

I first visited this venue about a month ago on a weekend afternoon. Upon arrival, I was surprised to find 16 people crammed onto the tight track during a single session. Unfortunately, some participants were overly aggressive, overtaking under yellow flags and generally disregarding the rules. Things escalated when the session was halted—several drivers stormed off their karts, got into a shouting match, and even threatened to fight. While the marshals handled it as best they could, the police had to intervene, and the involved parties were removed. Due to the massive delays, we only managed one session that day, though the venue kindly offered to reschedule our sessions for another date. When we returned, the experience was slightly better but still left much to be desired. The track had condensation issues, which affected the driving conditions. Many participants seemed inexperienced, leading to frequent yellow and red flags, which made it difficult to enjoy a proper race. Formula one qualifying was starting on the television in the bar after our sessions, so we all got drinks and didn’t even cross our minds to check what has been scheduled. And it switched to football right after we got our drinks. I found it baffling a karting venue would prioritise football over racing on a race week. There weren’t many people left in the bar, so we asked if we could switch back to F1 during football half time but to no avail. On a positive note, the staff were lovely, and the facilities were modern and well-maintained. However, the overall experience fell short due to the chaotic atmosphere and the type of crowd it seemed to attract. While it wasn’t a terrible experience, I’ve had far more enjoyable visits to outdoor karting tracks.

TL;DR: Booked for 15mins x2 for 2ppl on 28 Dec. Track is nice but below listed points for poor management. Made complaints on-site and manager promised refund within 7 days yet didn’t happen. Wouldn’t recommended. First 15mins we were told to stand-by yet the staff starting without informing us (attached photos). We lost half of the time in the first race. Second 15mins our kart number wasn’t even being placed in the system - even we did ask before getting the kart. Neither follow-up feedback nor recording in the end. - No signposts or directions. Everyone marches around like headless chicken. - Entrance not walk-friendly (no street lighting, pavements, only pot-holed road) - All races running 45mins late upon arrival - Lockers didn't work both in male and female change rooms - Lockers not available (all in use) - Forced to buy gloves/hat - Weren't told race started and missed 5mins of 15min race - Didn't make one lap without yellow flag - 1hr wait between races between 15min races - Not assigned kart number so no times recorded - No staff behind counter, had to search for them - No refunds available - Not informed if refund application was successful or not (can’t even prove if refund is being requested, ask for screenshot as evidence - got denied) If you had a pleasant experience here - that’s great! But me personally wouldn’t come back again. Be careful guys!

Me and my friend Hayden (who karts a lot) went on a random last minute session and I can say I had the best experience ever and for £55 for all of the time I was there it was well worth it. I have never been in electric karts only petrol karts about 13 years ago and I can safely say the speed and thrill of instant power with electric can’t be beat with petrol. Also the 2 floors is awesome and give an extra element of snazzyness which I thoroughly enjoyed.
