Wouldnât go back. The chap who took our order at the till was pretty impatient and decided to stop taking my order mid-way to make a waffle or pancake. I guess my half second pause on what to order was too long⊠so I then had to wait until he was done so I could complete my order and pay. It felt pretty rude.
The Waitress came to the table twice, as our two desserts came at different times (not ideal - ice cream melts). First time she didnât say a word, just put the dessert on the table and walked off.
The second time, the waitress wandered round with our dessert and didnât seem to believe my Wife when she suggested that this dessert was hers.. even though sheâd asked every table in there already.
There were also multiple tables that were left dirty with plates and crumbs. There didnât seem to be much urgency in keeping the seating area clean. Whatâs it like in the kitchen?
I ordered hot cookie dough, and I didnât really get it frankly. The cookie dough was half baked and incredibly sweet. It needed half as much dough and something to balance the sweetness. More ice cream than the two scoops would probably do it.
Meanwhile my wife ordered the waffle. It was actually good but again, the waffle was huge and the ice cream scoops were miserably small. She ordered an extra scoop (ÂŁ2.50!!!) which actually came as a half scoop. A joke when youâre paying for half a Ben & Jerryâs for a scoop and what you get is half of that. And again the ratios were all off, and way too sweet.
Given the name, Creams, we assumed the main thing was ice cream but seems like itâs just dessert. And ice cream is a side show or a pricey addition.
We thought it is important to provide feedback because itâs newly opened and hopefully the owners will read this and sort some of the basic problems we experienced. And hopefully itâll be a better experience for others...
Read moreTiramisu was ok, service was lackadaisical if Iâm being generous. When I walked in there was one table already seated and served with 3 staff working. I ordered and paid and was seated for 15minutes before the cashier came to tell me the ice cream I ordered was not in stock. They didnât have my alternative option either. At this point I asked for a refund. Why did it take 15minutes after I had had paid and seated for you to tell me you didnât have one of your best sellers available. To top it all off the tiramisu took another 10minutes to arrive. I canât understand why since it was prepackaged so literally no prep was required. When I was asked to go to the till to get a refund (honestly, why donât you have portable terminals?!) the colleague asked me what I had ordered. Excuse me??! And to top it all off I asked how long my refund would take to be processed he said it would be complete on the same day, he replied same day. I swiftly corrected him and told him that could not be the case and directed him to ask his manager to clarify. His manager confirmed a reasonable time. Hooray, you got something right. I asked the manager why Noone could tell me they didnât have my ice cream available as there were no customers waiting. He confidently said, they should have asked me first and that was it. No apology. Donât come here, The spoons are filthy, the service is laughable and it seems like incompetence truly reigns in this establishment. On the bright side, the tea wasnât the worst, which is more than I was expecting by the time it came....
Read moreRuksar at Creams Cafe isnât just your regular dessert server â sheâs a whole vibe. She doesnât just scoop ice cream, she delivers it with the energy of someone auditioning for âThe Most Iconic Employee of the Yearâ award. The minute you step in, sheâs there, somehow managing to take orders, drizzle chocolate sauce with artistic precision, and give off this vibe like sheâs the backbone of the entire franchise. And honestly? She probably is.
You want a waffle? Boom, perfection, golden and fluffy with toppings that look like they belong in a magazine. Milkshakes? Crafted with the energy of a mad scientist obsessed with making your day better. But itâs not just the desserts â itâs the full Ruksar experience. Sheâs got this âmain character in a dessert-based dramaâ energy, complete with witty banter and a stare that says, âYes, I did just make your sundae better than your life choices.â
Hereâs the real plot twist though: Iâm just here to state the obvious â this girl needs a pay rise. Creams Cafe, if youâre listening, Ruksar is singlehandedly elevating your brand to Michelin-star levels. You donât just go to Creams Cafe for desserts anymore. You go for Ruksar, whoâs clearly running the show even if her job title doesnât officially say it yet. Pay rise pending, thanks
When you come in and Ruksar isn't there. You're 100% missing out on the whole...
