Horrifying Experience at The Jago - Do Not Go Here.
My girlfriend and her friends had one of the worst, most frightening nights of their lives at Jago Night Club. What happened was not only unacceptable but deeply traumatizing.
The ordeal began when the bouncers decided to misprofile them and kicked them out, blaming them for something they didn’t do. When the girls explained that they had already spoken to one of the staff members to clear up the misunderstanding, the club's staff flat-out refused to listen.
Things escalated from there when one of the bouncers completely lost his temper. This large, aggressive man began sizing up one of my girlfriend's friends, who, mind you, is a 5’4” female. His behavior was not only unprofessional but downright threatening. At that point, the group made the only sensible decision—they left, feeling unsafe, unheard, and deeply shaken by what had happened.
The fact that a venue would allow its staff to treat customers this way is appalling. This was not a safe environment. These women were misjudged, disrespected, and subjected to aggression in a way that no one should ever have to endure. To say the night left them scarred and traumatized is an understatement. The Jago clearly has no respect for its patrons and no training in handling situations with care or professionalism.
This is not a community if this is how they treat people. If you value your safety, dignity, or basic human decency, avoid The Jago...
Read moreThe Jago is truly a special place! Nice cocktails ON TAP and affordable drinks (around £5/6 for big cans and pints) Also plenty of low/non alcohol choices.
Music is incredible as always- a great mix of cosy jam nights with talented musicians during the week, and club nights Fri/Sat with both established and up and coming Djs.
Special mention to the warmest welcome from Imogen on the door, and Francis + the rest of security keeping us safe.
There is also a food bank on Monday afternoons so it’s nice to see a venue deep rooted within the local scene and giving back to the community ❤️

Read moreWent for the Thursday jam last week that was supposed to start at 9:30pm. Inhouse band didn't start their set until 10:30, the drums were free for a long time but the inhouse drummer refused to let other ppl play the drums.
Finally at 11pm, they asked if anyone wanted to come up and play, my friend drummed for two songs and when he asked our other friend if he wanted to drum, the inhouse drummer suddenly walked up to him and called him a 'cheeky f_____', that he was out of his place. He said a few times 'i am the house band' and then took the seat back.
I believe not every jam night is like this tho. My friend told me another night he came and it was friendly...
