I visited the Stratford branch but there is no option to review on there page so this will do as it is the same company. There was a few things that really left a sour taste in my mouth.
the receptionist at the desk was quick to start denying I had made a booking and was adamant it was in west London branch. It seems she would have been happy to send me an away which is very weird behaviour. I had to pull out my confirmation email and then she stated it’s okay. This took over 20 mins eating into our slot time.
you leave all your belongs in the lockers at the reception. And they give you slippers and a bag for your swimming suit. It felt very bizarre to leave my personal things there and we was not given a key.
the lady gave a quick run through of the spa and stated that we can call her if we needed help. Every facilities was ice cold, sauna was barely even 15 degrees and hot tub was cold. Also the sauna rocks were free standing and look very unstable, you can barely fit one person in there. I was so anxious the stones will burn me. The whole 2 hours the sauna was ice cold. The hot tub would not switch on I tried over an hour and it randomly came on at the last minute. The steam room was burning the back of my leg as the steam comes out of the bottom I had stand at the door.
once I raised all these issues will the receptionist after the slot finished. She was adamant that she can’t offer any resolution. No refund % or no discounts etc. she even noted that she didn’t hear the hot tub and did not come an assist us. I feel like the equipment should be on when you start and at the right temperature. She stated I can email but “I won’t recieve a reply”.
price point is absolutely ridiculous considering you don’t even get anything. 165£. Along with the attitude of the staff member I won’t be returning. It’s really disappointing cause not many people are willing to spend that money on a spa and the small Clientele that are is alienated and not treated with any courtesy. Also I was very poorly for a week after and now I believe I had chlorine poisoning as others have mentioned.
**AVOID...
Read moreSadly visiting the private spa was a very dissapointing experience. The pictures on their socials and here in the reviews look amazing. However in real life this was not the case. Took my partner here for his birthday and had booked well in advance as I was travelling from abroad. On the day of our booking there were train strikes so almost impossible to reach the location. When communicating this, they said we would not be given the option to change the date. So we moved heaven and earth with long waiting times and taxi's to reach the private spa. Upon arrival we saw hairs everywhere, which wasn't a good start. Then we got in the jacuzzi and the pillow of the jacuzzi let go and we saw black dirt under it, also the pillow smelt sour and should have been replaced. We then tried the sauna and steam room, which were not warm. We complained about the temperatures and the staff would do something about it but no change. In the end we just were so unsatisfied and felt that the place was not hygenic so we left after 30 minutes whereas you book it for 2 hours. We complained to the staff and showed them where it was not clean and apparently the spa only gets deep cleaned once a week, this was a complete shocker. This should be done atleast daily. We asked for a refund and then over mail they proposed 50% refund and I had to then again explain the situation to get my full refund. Honestly don't want to bash the place as they refunded me but I just honestly hope they improve their hygene and clean the place...
Read moreI received a voucher as a present for the basic package which is £190 for 2 people. I just don’t think it’s worth the money and wouldn’t be coming again. It was very aesthetically pleasing, the fact it’s completely private is so lovely especially for Muslim women - but I feel £95 per person for 2 hours of using sauna steam room etc is just a bit much. The floor wasn’t clean - there were brown bits of water in the toilet and around the pool when we went down, the steam is only at the top of the room so you have to stand up to feel anything on your face, the sauna was great and jacuzzi too. The pool isn’t really for swimming, it’s about the length of your body. There’s no hairdryer so we had to leave with wet hair. Given the cost you’d expect all of these things to be pristine. I think a small table with snacks like dates/dried fruit/nuts and a drink dispenser with a lever just for some water would be a nice touch, in addition to a hairdryer. The staff member was really friendly but I just don’t think it’s worth the price. Better off going to a women’s only spa that does treatment and you’re free to use the facilities after. There should be hazard tape for the small step between the floor and sauna/steam area as it’s easy to miss and a handle for the stair as with it being a huge wet room the floors...
