Large lounge with lots of seating but usually full. The food and drink options are limited but high quality.

My biggest complaint is the restrooms. They are too large (do we really need a seating area in a toilet?) and too few. There are 12 or so stalls to service all genders so there is almost always a wait of a few minutes.

There are also no occupancy indicators on the doors, so people are constantly trying doors to see which stalls are free to use. I'm not sure about other people, but I find it disturbing when using the bathroom and the door is being constantly being pushed on. You can hear the frustrated sighs from the person on the other side.

A simple green/red indication attached to the doorlock would help solve this issue and result in less annoyance for the guests.

The bathrooms are clean though. Although a waste basket for tissues used to open doors would be appreciated. I don't think the tissues should make their way to the common or dining areas, but they inevitably do.

I know, I'm picky about the toilets and hygiene, I worked in the hospitality industry for many years and I've seen how gross people can be, even without these easily...

Heathrow Terminal 2, B area has 3 lounges 🛋️:

🇸🇬 Singapore Airlines' KrisFlyer Lounge 🇨🇦 Air Canada's Maple Lounge 🇺🇸 United Airlines Lounge

I have visited the first and the last one a few times, and through this review giving feedback about United Airlines's Lounge as well as little bit of comparison versus KrisFlyer Lounge (do check my review of that separately to find more)

🥗Food choices for vegetarians is quite limited Lots of soft drinks available

🍷Bar is available with lots of options (this is coming from a teetotaler, so take it with a pinch of salt)

💺Decent seating area. But there are no recliners or sleeping couches.

🖨️No business centre, in case you want printouts etc (go to Air Canada Lounge for the same, but it closes at 6 pm)

🚿Showers are available, but only till 6 pm (go to KrisFlyer Lounge for showers after 6 pm)

📶Internet speed over wifi is quite good, for last minute download of web series, movies over Netflix, SonyLiv, Disney Hotstar

Nice lounge to go for and I will recommend it over and above...

Decent lounge that hits the basics but struggles with the details. View of tarmac is nice, food quality is decent, and staff are friendly. Place is also kept clean. The downfall comes in that it gets incredibly crowded and suffers. The food area is far too small and struggles to keep the buffet stocked. When they manage to fill the food, they run out of plates or utensils people were actually celebrating getting a piece of bread it was so hard to come by. Seating can be difficult to find and to top it off, it is kept extremely warm to the point of dripping sweat in a T-shirt. A solid lounge in planning but the actual experience lacks. If it’s not crowded and kept cooler it would be quite a nice place to unwind before a flight, if it’s crowded, I suggest heading to one of the alternate star...

Two stars removed today 28th December 2024. This used to be a great lounge (original 5 starred review below). Staff today lacklustre. Couldn't be bothered attitude. Now, apparently no champagne served (since 4 months I was told). Decamped to Singapore lounge where staff much better. Sad to say really. Previous review : Always a great way to start a relaxed journey. Staff are lovely, bartenders attentive. Good range of food and drinks. Nice views of the taxi ways in this bright and airy lounge. Plenty of power points for phone and laptop charging. Short walk to the gates for InterContinental flights (although it is a long way from the main terminal where European flights depart).

Fairly standard experience for a flag carrier lounge. Quite large but on a Sunday morning was rammed and took a few walk around to even find a seat. Breakfast was good with good quality food. All the coffee machines were broke sadly which was dissapointing. All the food is served in small area which frequently got crowded. Not really a great design compared to other lounges. Well stocked bar and good views out. Seemingly only 6 toilets that I could see and people were frequently queueing for them. It's close to the United gates which is clearly very handy. Overall though, other lounges do it better.

I really liked being able to use the showers before my long haul flight. Despite the lounge being almost full, I didn't have to wait for a shower stall which was just cleaned and fresh towels provided. It was almost full so finding a seat was difficult for a family of 4 but we were able to find something. The food was good but nothing like the Polaris lounges. The last time I visited this lounge at LHR was before they had Polaris lounges and at that time I really liked it. Was a bit disappointed as my expectation was a bit high.
