Lots of dog poo on the path. Very busy. Good parking with better than expected toilets. Very well maintained. Some nice plants and features along the way. Why three stars and not four? Well as a place where young children are taken there was far too much dog mess, and as a place for grown ups there is very little of interest there. Read moreRiverside park is a little oasis of calm just next to town. The Bollin flows alongside the pathway and field walks and on this section you can walk from Macclesfield to Prestbury. It is very popular with dog walkers and runners ( me included ) and is fabulous for spotting heron, buzzards and kingfishers. April to November has long horn cattle freely grazing there too....
