I'll give it another try once the hype has subsided. At the moment it seems to be chaotically busy, leading to long waits and confused customers. I had to endure at least three conversations between staff and the hipster cliental infront of me, about how much love and care is put into the products, the type of grain, the vegan virtues, and on and on and on. When there's a queue of 8 or 9 maybe some focus on serving might be better, the three staff chatting behind the bread trollies might have lent a hand too, as the poor chap making coffees seemed too have a never ending list! What seems to be a café does not benefit from table service, leading to the tables being grabbed by others, while their friend waits in the queue. This means that you can queue up for 20 mins, then have nowhere to sit. The food and coffee is undoubtedly delicious, but at £5.40 for a cheese and onion (leek) toastie, highly priced. I had hoped that the toastie might have been accompanied by some salad, crisps etc, but no, nothing, it was two triangles of toast on a small (grubby) white plate. It may have been an off day, it may get better with time, but there are plenty of other similar places in Macclesfield to go...

Maybe I’m biased because they are our business neighbour and they always look out for me, but in my honest opinion Flour Water Salt is the best place to go in Macclesfield for coffee, food and the friendliest vibes! Yes, they have THE BEST coffee in town (a town that has a lot of coffee) yes, the food is always spot on, incredible pastries, bagels to rival the best I’ve eaten in NYC, fantastic bread and my personal lunchtime fave the mighty ham and cheese toasty, but there’s something else going on that makes it so unique. The staff. Quite possibly the best, most professional, and friendliest young team I have ever had the pleasure of knowing in any cafĆ© I’ve been to. I’m lucky because I’ve got to know these guys well, but if you don’t know them let’s hear it for Jess! Harry! Liv! Barney! Toby! Frazer! Charlotte! Anna! and Matt! These guys are a fantastic team in a fantastic place. Keep doing what you are doing, and we will always keep coming...

My favourite place to visit in Macclesfield. The kickback latte is the best In town, I've been to many & this is the best coffee . The staff are always so friendly & welcoming. Great atmosphere, you can sit alone or chat to others . Pet friendly , child & pram friendly & hooman bean friendly 🤣. The food is absolutely amazing, everything baked fresh in the bakery at the back, you can watch them work ( so cool), it's like a bakery version of Willy wonkas chocolate factory. The lemon & cardamom buns are out if this world, however it's a standing joke as I take one home for myself to have slightly warm , but my lovely son manages to sniff it out it's hiding place & eats it. The sour dough bread is beautiful, the coffee buns, cinnamon buns & almond croissants 🄐 are all divine. Plus they do toasted sandwiches etc. They also have a quieter area in the back , which is pretty cool. Love the loyalty cards as well. Keep up the fab work & I will be...

Flour Water Salt is one of my favourite spots. Their Danish might just be the best bakery treat I’ve ever had—flaky, sweet, and absolutely delicious. The space feels inviting with its industrial yet cozy setting. The staff go above and beyond… you can tell they genuinely love what they do, remembering every customers name which creates a great sense of community. The bagels and bread are a must-try, but honestly, I’d get two of everything if I could. Oh, and the coffee, next level!🤯 Plus, it’s dog-friendly, which is a huge bonus. Highly recommend!

You won't find a better spot in Macc (or anywhere, probably) for coffee and baked goods. The pain suisse when they have it is 12/10, but you can't go wrong with anything in there. The cinnamon bun is a personal fave and always super fluffy. Perfect for dipping in a flat white. Highly recommend the malted seeded sourdough but all of them are spot on. And of course Kickback Coffee. THE BEST ā¤ļø

This is a warm welcoming place, especially on a damp Sunday morning. The lustre of freshly baked pastries added to the aroma of freshly brewed coffee is as inviting as other aspects of the cafe's ambience. I loved the buzz growing as more people arrived - families included. The staff clearly care about helping customers to enjoy their visit. This cafe is a real asset for the town.
