This is a very lovely, mid-sized local park that has many beautiful mature trees that offer great shade on sunny days. It also offers great views of some swish skyscrapers nearby.

Hulme Park has a great, fenced-off children's adventure play area complete with slides and a rope climbing frame. There is also a soccer pitch, basketball court, table tennis table, skateboarding ramps and exercise equipment.

On the afternoon I visited, a large and ethnically diverse group of young men in their teens and twenties were competing with each other very good naturedly to see who could do the most chin-ups or perform the most spectacular gymnastics routine.

The pleasant paths that surround and criss cross Hulme Park also make it a popular place for dog walkers.

And for the less energetic, there are also four picnic tables plus a large number of benches (with no tables). My only negative was that one bin near an entrance was badly overflowing. However, none of the others were.

Free, on-street parking nearby is available for a maximum of three hours Monday to Friday. There are no restrictions on weekends.

All in all, Hulme Park is a beautiful and tranquil place that attracts a broad section of humanity who all seem to get along with each other amidst the great facilities and the calming effect of the majestic trees.

The group of children aged between ten and twelve I had brought loved Hulme Park. And they are quite the connaisseurs as we visit different parks several times a month. They left happy and tired. What more can...

Hulme Park, located in the vibrant area of Hulme in Manchester, is a cherished green space offering a serene retreat from the bustling city life. The park is well-regarded for its spacious, open areas that provide ample room for recreational activities and relaxation.

One of the park's highlights is its well-maintained walking paths, which wind through lush lawns and beautifully landscaped gardens. These paths are perfect for a leisurely stroll or a more vigorous jog. The park also features a children’s playground, making it a popular spot for families. The playground is equipped with modern play equipment, ensuring that children have a fun and safe environment to enjoy.

Additionally, Hulme Park is home to several sports facilities, including basketball courts and football pitches, catering to both casual players and organized sports teams. The park’s picnic areas are ideal for a relaxing afternoon with friends and family, offering scenic spots to enjoy a meal outdoors.

Overall, Hulme Park is a valuable asset to the local community, providing a welcoming space for recreation, socializing, and relaxation. Its blend of natural beauty and recreational facilities makes it a favorite destination for residents and...

The park has a nice mix of maintained and wildflower areas. Some of the wildflower areas have a lot of stinging nettles and brambles near the pathways however which isn't great if you have children running around. The playground, like the seating areas, is a bit old and needs some investment but although it's old my child loves it - although the wooden raised structure and long slide which I think many children liked best in the playground have been closed off for the best part of a year and there's no sign of any work in progress. Hello @mancitycouncil - what is being done!? But there's a basketball area, small skate area, football pitch and plenty of open lawn area so overall a nice little community park and I often see family friendly events in the summer months too. On hot days it gets noisy and busy with people playing music, cooking on disposable bbqs and smoking/ drinking etc but mostly, apart from immediately after school time, it is quiet...

On the surface this park looks ok but look closely and you will soon see it isn't. It has thousands of pieces of shredded plastics ,metal and paper caused by the rubbish not being cleared up before the grass cutters go to work. These pieces are now embedded in the ground and will be really difficult to remove. Shocking reflection of Manchester Council's indifference to the environment. How would they like it if I emptied my rubbish on the grass outside their offices and run over it with my lawnmower - i'm pretty sure that they wouldn't be happy either. Alexandra Park is immaculate, Peel Park is immaculate so why can't Hulme Park be the same ??

Beautiful Park, quite a lot of people having BBQ, sometimes it's hard to relax because you have strangers coming and sitting close to you for no reason, there is a swing on a tree that's really cool, but I remember that a bunch of 6 uncivilised fat girls broke it when they all sat on it, I literally got mixed feelings about the park, the Park is amazing but you see at least one weird shady person all the time, I try no to go there alone.
