Sadly, due to Covid, I haven't actually been able to visit the gallery, however, I have been lucky enough to purchase a truly stunning piece of art from it. I bought a painting by Steven Heaton and am absolutely thrilled with it! It arrived super professionally packaged and was even better than imagined, having only seen it online. I was so impressed with the professionalism of the Ian at the gallery and would highly recommend viewing the collections, even if only online for the present time.

What a fantastic find in the Castlefield Basin - worth going if only to cross the Rochdale canal via the secret bridge - just follow the signs to get there. The exhibits are for sale and there should be something to suit all tastes.

The Saul Hay Gallery is a lovely place to just browse, but when a work captures your eye and your imagination and lingers, giving it a home seems the least you can do. Daniel Freaker’s Platform of Beyond, was for us one of those works and we now have the pleasure of its company on a daily basis. I can't believe I have only recently found this delightful gallery. It is tucked away in a lovely building and location nestled beside the canal in Castlefield.

I have visited a couple of times now and the works on display are fabulous. The owner Ian is a very knowledgeable and interesting man that made me feel very welcome, unlike some places.
