The Star — Restaurant in Mid Sussex

The manager can get 5 stars, but the rest of the employee should be gone! The Manager does his job. He cleans tables, serving food etc. Whilst one of the employee eats his lunch every 20 mins. And when behind the bar can't even say hello back. Does he got an anxiety or perhaps doesn't speak a word? Another chatting with her girlfriends on mobile.

This pub will not survive for long. The fence outside already destroyed. Toilet is dirty and stinky. Dirty tables are moving from side to side. Do not place your pint before you place yourself.

Looks like the owner doesn't care. Just getting his profit from pints. Not the same as it was before. Lost me as a customer. Not...

We went here today for a roast dinner withour family after having eaten here other evenings which were fine good pub grub at a reasonable price. Today however was not the same. I can honestly say it was the worst meal i have ever eaten. The beef was full of gristle. Potatoes were soggy vegetables were frozen and under cooked. And stuffing with roast beef!! So dissapointed decided to have dessert shouldnt have bothered cheesecake tasted really synthetic. Ice cream was fullof ice.Such a shame because the pub is nice and staff are great, infact thats the only reason we didnt complain.Sadly we will not...

Often drop in to the Star for a couple of drinks with friends - great place to catch up over a glass, really chilled, relaxed environment.

Good selection of drinks, not eaten in here for a long while though but will do soon as the plates that passed me by yesterday on the way out of the kitchen looked tempting!

What really makes this place is the friendly, attentive service from the bar staff, in particular the server with the cropped hair who recently came back from Amsterdam (I'm sorry I always forget to get your name!) who us always really chatty and welcoming.
