Fakenham Superbowl — Attraction in North Norfolk

hardly glamorous, but then it's a Superbowl, what do you expect? i've never not got a lane here or had to wait, despite the fact it is occasionally packed. ditto always parking available.

quality of actual lanes is average - the usual occasional mis-score or mistaken lane clearance, but it feels like you get them everywhere. food is pretty standard, unhealthy, low-quality fayre, there's the usual drinks offering, and the staff seem reasonable if not super-friendly.

there's also a jukebox, Sky Sports News (i think) or crap daytime tv on, a pool table (not played on it yet), air hockey (i have and it seems ok) and a handful of arcade machines if that floats your boat.

there's also a soft play area in the back split into toddlers and bigger kids. it has just the basics, and my wife tells me the ropes are really coarse and uncomfortable with little padding on the bigger one, and the toddler section is tiny and boring (tbh my wife used ruder words to describe it).

i still come here occasionally to bowl though, as it does what it says on the tin/sign and is...

Came up here for a holiday and on the last day we came here. Fakenham is one of the best towns I have ever visited and then I found this place. There are bigger bowling alleys that I have visited, but not better. They have pool tables, arcade machines, air hockey, a kids play area which young kids will love as mine did not want to leave and of course they had bowling and a bar. They also have an escape room which is brilliant too. The prices are better than competitive. We pre-booked and bowled at the weekend - it may not have all the laser lights and music of larger bowling venues - but Fakenham Superbowl is a good family venue with something for everyone including children's play zone and pool table etc. etc. We were very happy with the Covid prevention measures undertaken by the Team and felt very safe - EVERYTHING was cleaned as/when used (even the pen used to fill in the local track and trace forms); staff themselves were very helpful and assisted as/when necessary.
