St. Columb’s Cathedral is a stunning piece of history nestled within the walls of Londonderry. Its imposing Gothic architecture and serene atmosphere create a captivating experience. The cathedral’s interior is filled with intricate details, from the beautiful stained-glass windows to the ornate carvings.

One of the highlights is the Chapter House Museum, which houses a fascinating collection of artifacts and documents related to the cathedral’s history. The museum offers a glimpse into the past, showcasing the cathedral’s significance in the city’s development.

While the cathedral itself is impressive, it’s the peaceful ambiance that truly stands out. Whether you're seeking a moment of quiet reflection or a deeper understanding of the city’s heritage, St. Columb’s Cathedral is a...

1st Anglican Cathedral to be built following the Reformation. Style known as Plantation Gothic founded in the 1630s based on churches found in London at the time before the Great Fire of London. There is a memorial window to the poet Cecil Frances Alexander whose husband was Bishop of Londonderry . She wrote many well known hymns such as "All things bright and beautiful" and "There is a green hill far away", and the carol "Once in Royal...

NEVER OPEN?! Even though they list the new-revised opening times on the door - it was seemingly never open when I went. Tried to visit twice, both times around noon (they say they're open 10:00am-3:00pm) but found all the doors to be locked solid. Not sure what's going on there, cool to look at from the outside though.
