Forgeworld has no loyalty to its customers. They have foreign prices set extortionately high (in the range of up to 50% higher) for the same product. One model in Australia went up by the equivalent of over $700 AUD overnight, for the exact same product. Their quality control is not very good, common 'defects' are: heavily warped parts, duplicate/missing parts, miscast parts (holes or bubbles in them), badly mixed resin that will continue to seep an oily substance pretty much forever that will stop paint adhering to the model correctly (they normally won't replace the product for this last one, telling you to scrub it with a toothbrush instead). They also lack effective communication, seemingly randomly pulling products from production with little to no warning (a week to buy the already expensive products at full price- often a few weeks in a row), giving only a copy paste response to explain it. My SO bought me a Dread Saurian for xmas, that came in with 2 left hind legs (instead of, you know, a left and a right) and 2 of the left armor plate. Bare in mind this company poses as a exclusive miniature boutique and the model costs around 150£, which is quite good money. I e-mailed the customer service that came back to me relatively quick, however they said something I wasn't prepped for. Apparently it would take them 10-15 more days to send me the right parts. I was in Warhammer World. I know these guys can make you anything to order within 2 hours. I agreed thou, waited for 12 days and decided to ask them for an update and if we will get an express delivery, since my SO payed for it originally. I have asked them 3 times now and there is no answer. I'm in a bit of a panic right now, so I'm writing this. DO NOT BUY FROM FORGEWORLD. Read moreGREAT MODELS BUT INFLATED PRICES TO NON UK CUSTOMERS Manufacture great miniatures and models. However, their recent "Pay in your currency" website update only made their products more expensive depending on your location around the world. Instead of converting GBP to NZ and adding postage and 10% GST to the price we now have a massive mark up of 17.3% ~ 40.0% on all products.
They have been doing this for years here with Games Workshop retail in New Zealand and argue the cost of services here. But now they have no excuse to changing the price for an online UK service that provides no extra benefits to others around the world.
You lost my business and I no longer can afford to waste my time and money trying to continue this hobby. Games Workshop prices in the past year for new miniatures were ridiculous! Now this killed me off of your hobby.
