Elvira’s Café — Restaurant in Plymouth

This cafe is nothing if not consistent. It is renowned for producing great, well-cooked food at very good prices. The breakfast menu (available all day) offers a broad range of breakfasts from the smallest of appetites to, frankly, the gut-busting! And most of the breakfasts are available for vegetarians, which makes a very pleasant change.

If you enjoy a decent, honest full English, including veggie options with Quorn sausages, then you can't beat this place. If you prefer something other than a breakfast, they do a range of other options too.

What an amazing establishment. If you want a posh place to eat this is not it. The decor and flooring is somewhat in need of doing. However if you can look past that then you have a cafe that is right next to the ferry, great tasting ingredients, portion sizes to make an obese guy smile and prices to make a tramp happy. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. No wonder it's busy (but the waiting time is no different to any other cafe). More importantly they are dog friendly!!!! So no need to tie your pooch up outside. This is my go to place for brekkie. May this place be here always. I cannot recommend and praise this establishment enough. Elvira’s Café is one of those places that just makes you feel good the moment you walk in. It has such a welcoming, homely vibe and the staff are always smiling and happy to see you. You can tell they care about what they do and that really comes through in the food and the service.

The menu has a lovely mix of fresh, tasty options and everything I’ve tried has been delicious. The coffee is great, and the cakes are something special. It’s the kind of place where you stop in for a quick bite and end up staying longer than you planned because it’s just that cosy and relaxed.
