WORST GYM I HAVE EVER JOINED AND I ALREADY REGRET IT. While the gym equitment is not bad,and the layout wouldn t be bad, it would most certenly need lots of refurbrishment because as many people pointed out, the changing rooms are filthy. The carpet is dirty with massive stains on them and it looks like it hasn t been canged in decades, you kind of feel like you want to be careful not to step on the carpet without your shoes on when changing.I had a shower there only once and i was desgusted by the shower rooms which were a total disgrace, they are so dirty, old and mouldy that it makes you want to throw up.It was absolutly apauling. Other things that i would point out is that most of the members of staff not only do they not make you feel welcomed, but should you need to talk to them they are rude, unhelpful and desinterested and they actually contradict you and argue with you when they are not right and all that without looking into things.Other than that you can clearly see that the members of staff hate their jobs, and they hate you as a customer. On the other hand when you have the induction nobody explains anything to you like for instance where the changing rooms are,or how the equitment works(which some people might need to be explained) or other things. All they do on induction is make sure you sign the papers and they take your money.I haven't even been given a gym card up until now,and I i am now being told that i can't use it,so I am at the mercy of people to let me in the changing rooms, and gym,and if it gets later then i can t get in to take my stuff from the changing room because there is nobody at the upstairs reception. Other than that they are so desorganised.Nobody knows anything, the staff are useless, they can t make decisions, they have to pass things on to the manager who is never there if you go to the gym after work at 6pm. My partner and I decided to joing the gym and we've set up a dual membership online and gave our bank details. We then booked an induction, but my partner started having awful knee pains and had to stop playing even tennis and felt that he definitly can t do gym therefore i went to the induction alone, and told them it will be only me joining. The induction was well within 14 days of joining online.I have been told that they could not refund me any of the money they've taken for the dual membership however they will put it towards my membership.Although ive been told the first payment would come off only almost a months after i dont see why they said they could not refund me the money,if there was nothing to refund yet. Next time when i went to the gym i asked for a card, when i ve been told that in their system it appers that im still on a dual membership with my partner and i told the lady what happened and she kept saying if we want to change it my partner has to bring paper from the doctor saying he has injured his knee.I would just like to point out that according to their policy you have 14 days after signing the papers and joining, to cancel if you wish to do so.But that is not true and is false advertising and its a whole bunch if bulshit. We have been decived being told within 14 days that they can change it over to single membership, but after 14 days been told we can t.There was a blond lady upstairs at the reception, she was so rude, had no idea of their policy or anything, didnt even bother looking at the notes,or looking into when we actually joined the gym and she eventually said she'll pass it on to her manager who was not there then.Typical.AND i have been told that until this problem gets sorted my gym card wont work so as i said im at the mercy of others to let me in. I felt through all the journey that the staff did not care about my needs, nor helping me.They were all the way unfriendly and after a hard day at work when you pop into the gym being treated like a doormat is not what one needs. Other thing that i would point out is that there is never anyone(gym instructor)around. IN CONCLUSION what you're getting does not...
Read moreWe went to a Freemasons Ladies Night Dinner & Dance. Obviously we go to quite a few. This was the worse venue we have ever been to. It’s a complete shame, as the people that held the event put a lot of detail in. I think the management at The Mountbatten Center needs to held accountable. The staff obviously wasn’t trained enough, no one was keeping an eye on THE BALL! For starter’s the bar only had one person working at the start of the evening, for a group of about 80 people, it was a warm evening. There was a huge queue. Eventually someone took the initiative to put more staff behind the bar! But that took a long time to arrange. But they obviously weren’t trained enough! They couldn’t even pour a pint, so only one person was allowed to pour drinks. So they all stood back and watch this person struggling. THEN THE FOOD…. Well it was cooked nicely & the soup was delicious, but not hot no.Then the mains was served cold too and the menu said Roast Potatoes to compliment a ROAST Dinner but we had cold deep fried new potatoes with their skins on. Which really didn’t go with a Roast Dinner. I heard later that someone asked for their meal to be zapped in the microwave which a server kindly did, they said it really made a difference and tasted lovely. The deserts was a bought in cheese cake which you would think couldn’t be mucked up. We’ll it was awful! It had a funny texture. With a bit of squirted cream at the side which had dissolved. The actual staff serving were very nice, but sorry to say the management didn’t have a clue on organising. Or maybe there wasn’t any managerial staff there. Someone needs to be held accountable for this...
