Prestatyn Central Beach is a solid choice for a traditional seaside experience, but it has its pros and cons. The beach itself is long and sandy, great for walks, building sandcastles, and enjoying the fresh sea air. The promenade is well-maintained, and there are some nice cafés and amenities nearby. However, the water quality isn't always the best, and like many UK beaches, the weather can be hit or miss. At low tide, the beach stretches out quite far, which is great for space but means a long walk to the sea. It can also get quite busy in peak season. Overall, it’s a pleasant spot for families and dog walkers, especially if you're in the area, but not necessarily a must-visit compared to other North Wales beaches.

Parking at the Nova if you are visiting. Not sure how much as we walk here most days. Strict dog rules are a little vague, and open to interpretation. Groynes offer protection and better sand, which is covered at high tide. Lifeguards in season. Nova centre has a bar. Running and cycling is fine, but can be busy at the weekends especially when the tide is high and everyone is on the quay side/steps. Views as far away as Blackpool Tower to the North East and Anglesey to the West. Downside is offen oil deposited from the offshore rigs, and surface water from the land is often smelly at low tide. River water from the Dee Estuary makes it a bit muddy.
