A wonderful slice of ancient Rayleigh history in a wild walk. Many signs dotted about describe the 1,000 year history of the site that are worth reading. The site is uneven and can get very muddy, with steps that can be a challenge for some. Well worth a look around for the wildlife alone. Short walk up to the Mount. Has beauiful views bad sadly because of the overgrown shrubs you cannot see much but still there is some good views. Windmill at the bottom but only open saturdays. There is Museum that is a must visit too and only 5 mins away next to Pizza express on the high street.

Rayleigh Mount is a lovely, peaceful spot with lots of greenery and stunning views over Rayleigh. It's perfect for a quiet stroll or just taking in the scenery.
