The Roebuck - JD Wetherspoon — Restaurant in Rochford

I usually wouldn’t complain if I was ordering for myself but today I was a bit shocked at the service. I support a young lady with learning disabilities, who ordered an American burger, not realising it doesn’t come with cheese. Due to the nature of her disability she was very distressed and I asked the manager as she was walking around if she could just have a slice of cheese for her burger, to which i was informed in a blunt manner that she should have ordered a cheese burger and that it would cost £1.50 for a slice of cheese.. the price difference between a regular burger and a cheese burger is only 60p. I took the food to the bar to pay for the cheese, and asked if it could just be run to the kitchen quickly as the food was already getting cold and explained that she was getting herself in a state over if, but was told it would be brought over. Waited another 10 minutes at the table for a singular slice of cheese to be brought out on a plate at which the burger was cold at this point. I was a bit shocked at the customer service as in most places it’s a small exception to make and wouldn’t be made to feel like a bother. I understand we should have checked the order, but considering she is a vulnerable adult and for such a small mistake I didn’t expect it to be...

Cant fault the food when you eventually get it x I ordered main and dessert my friend ordered main x I received and ate my main whilst my friend was still waiting for her main x Went to bar and ask for my dessert and where my friends meal was x Around 20 minuets later my friends main arrived I asked about my the dessert warm cookie dough was and the girl said "they are doing it now " Goodooh at least we will both be eating the same time x Alas no my friend finished her meal and I was sitting their still waiting for my dessert x.it eventually arrived 15 minuets after she finished eating x We must of been in their for over a good 3 hours x Nothing worse than eating on your own x Shame this happened as we often pop in here for lunch whilst shopping in Rayleigh x unfortunately we will have to eat elsewhere as it took up to much of our time x Regards 2 unhappy...

On Sunday the 6th November me, my father and my daughter went to the roebuck for a late breakfast/early lunch and ordered an all day breakfast for myself and my father and we ordered a child's spaghetti Bolognese.

When we received the food, the all day breakfasts were burnt, stale and the plates were super hot where they had been clearly microwaved.

The child's Bolognese plate was also boiling hot where it had been microwaved. This is a Child's meal and is unacceptable that the plate was so hot!

The food was horrible and I definitely won't be going back any time soon. The food used to be nice in the roebuck what changed?

The price is lower because it is a weather spoons however it does not mean that it should be made this badly.

The only reason I am giving it 2* is because the staff were lovely and organized. But this is not enough for an establishment that...
