Elms Farm Butchers Shop - Ruddington — Attraction in Rushcliffe

This is a quite exceptional shop. The meat is of outstanding quality, largely rare breeds sourced from the owner's farm. The staff are charming, helpful, and always have excellent advice. You can get your organic milk there (with refillable bottles), and the produce is all exceptional. Whether it is giant free range chicken breasts, fantastic beef fillet, or wonderful lamb (their own or from nearby Plumtree) it is all of the highest quality. The sausages are outstanding, as are the burgers, the steak haché, the pre-prepared kebabs, and a variety of other easy options (the stuffed chicken breasts when available are a complete joy, as are some of the stir fries). The local cheeses – including fantastic stilton – are first rate. You also know that you are buying from responsible farmers who care about the environment and about the food they produce.
