I decided to read the reviews before I decided to share my experience at Jasper's Cafe in Ruddington. I've been in a few times now and for some part has been pleasant, but after witnessing some rude behaviour of the chap behind the counter with the beard, and the way I was spoken to last week prompted to leave this review. The short blunt response that makes you feel you are an inconvenience, when what you are is a paying customer is really not acceptable. I'm not rude or impolite whatsoever so to be made to feel like this is not really on. He really looks like he doesn't want to be there and for somebody with zero social skills should really think about a job that doesn't involve a smile or politeness, as for the replies by managers on previous posts, never have I seen that sort of response in my 60 years of being on this planet, surely you'd like these customers to come back so an apology doesn't go far, zero stars for customer service. If you like your coffee with a grunt and dollop of attitude to go with it,Jasper's is for you. Really no need to...
Read moreVisited the cafe on 2nd March 25, sat at what appeared to be an empty table in the window of the cafe, middle aged male with bald head and glasses cane over and abruptly advised we had to move as two people at the counter had chosen the table and ordered food, at that there was no indication the table was taken, we had no way of knowing as no coats, bags etc at the table, the male was quote loud, very abrupt and we felt quote embarrassed at his manner/tone, the same male delivered food to a family venue on 4th January 25 and unfortunately his manner was just as poor, it's disappointing as we are regular visitors to the cafe and the rest of the staff are absolutely brilliant and the food is great, is customer service needed for this one individual? someone who overheard the conversation advised he is possibly the...

However on our last visit we were showing some family around the village and used the cafe. The food was fine and wasn’t too busy on arrival. However when we came to leave we were disappointed to be rushed out. Our plates were collected before asking if we’d finished, the waitress then proceeded to rudely barge past my partner whilst she put out 6 months old in the pushchair to wipe the tables down. And there was no “thank you” or “goodbye” which is usually the case here. We were a group of 4 adults and 2 children so a little space to get our things together before leaving would have been appreciated.
All in all, a nice visit ruined by poor etiquette and rudeness. Something we never experienced or associated with jaspers...
