"Saundersfoot Beach is a delightful destination that offers a charming seaside atmosphere, making it an ideal place to spend a few hours and enjoy the coastal surroundings. However, it's important to note that during peak holiday seasons, the popularity of both Tenby and Saundersfoot can lead to some challenges.
One of the main difficulties is finding parking, which can be a bit of a gamble. Due to the high number of visitors, securing a parking space can be a matter of luck. It's advisable to plan your visit during less busy times to increase the chances of finding available parking. Popular beach destinations tend to attract a high number of visitors during peak seasons, which can result in crowded conditions.
Unfortunately, the council has a habit of allowing tables and chairs to be setup over the accessible parking spaces, making it more challenging for individuals with disabilities or mobility issues to find suitable parking. This situation can be frustrating and inconvenient for those who rely on these designated spaces. It is crucial for the local authorities to address this issue and ensure that disabled parking bays remain accessible, even during unusual time's (COVID) or busy periods.
Assuming you are able to find parking and visit during a less busy period, Saundersfoot Beach offers a tranquil and enjoyable experience. The beach itself provides a picturesque setting for a leisurely stroll, sunbathing, or simply appreciating the beauty of the coastline. The calm waters and clean sands make it a great spot for families to relax and enjoy the seaside atmosphere.
It's important to be mindful of seagulls, as they can be quite opportunistic when it comes to food. It's advisable to keep your food well protected and avoid leaving it unattended to prevent any unwanted encounters. Taking necessary precautions will ensure that you have a hassle-free experience.
In summary, Saundersfoot Beach offers a charming seaside atmosphere and provides a pleasant destination to spend a few hours by the coast. However, finding parking can be challenging during peak times, and there have been reports of disabled parking spaces being compromised for the placement of tables and chairs. The local council should prioritize maintaining accessible parking options for individuals with disabilities. Enjoy the tranquility of the beach, be mindful of seagulls, and make the most of your time at...
