Cerrones Restaurant — Restaurant in Sheffield

Was quite let down with the front of house service today. Me and my family have been coming here for multiple years, which is a real disappointment. My mum rang up earlier today to request a pickup order, to which the woman who answered the phone told hurriedly us she would call us back within five minutes because she was the only person waiting the food. 20-30 minutes later there was still no call and we were very hungry, this prompted my boyfriend to call again and place the order. We managed to get the order through, except I was told there was ‘no penne pasta’, followed shortly by ‘no pasta at all’. I then had to quickly decide on another dish from the menu, which had all pasta dishes on. We were also told that we ‘had to have the exact money in cash’. When we went to pick the food up we were greeted quite sternly by the front of house and she told us to take a seat and the food will be with us in 3-4 minutes. The restaurant was sparse, with a family of three dining in. Quite the opposite to what we were told on the phone when she was rushed off her feet and couldn’t take our order. To my surprise also, a woman was sat eating a pasta dish which was confusing as I was told they had ran out of multiple ingredients including pasta. Our food was given to us 30 minutes later. Went to cerrones last night for the first time we had to book as it's very popular as we entered a buzz of excited voices broke the quiet Sunday .we were shown to our table for two the place was packed with a mix of people old and young one group enjoying a birthday for wich they do incredible deals!we were soon asked would we like a drink whilst we chose our meal the delicious aromas filling the air made it difficult to decide it is an extensive menu of Italian food with not a burger in sight !we made our choices and after a reasonable waiting time were served beautiful freshly cooked food (no microwave)the veg was aldente fresh and bright we thoroughly enjoyed it i would recommend this place to any one who enjoys a proper restaurant if you want fast boring junk food then don't come to cerrones .well done cerrones you are doingoing a great...

Been going to this restaurant for around 6 years. Spent many lovely evenings and Sundays celebrating family birthdays gettogethers. Visited Saturday 2 April 2022, no idea what has happened. The evening was vile. Firstly received text informing boiler broke wear something warm, okay cannot be helped. Then received text can we get there at 7.30 pm food would be ready REALLY!!!. Meal booked for 8.00pm. There used to be a great waitress Think her name was Janine, she was not there the lady in charge was rude verging on aggressive. This was a birthday do sadly ruined by her. The food was not good portions so small we bought chips on the way home. Really very sad lovely place now so rubbish. Please do not go expecting the great food and service it is dreadful never ever go...
