My review only concerns the ghost tour. The museum is great. The ghost tour was also good. I liked the presentation and content. It was delivered well in an hour. The one thing which ruined my experience was my fellow customers. I don't mean to be rough but this is your stage. Please don't allow your customers to bring their ghost hunting equipment on a tour and make it their show. When I entered I saw a couple with their equipment and they were communicating with the spirits. I thought they were part of the establishment. I was curious as to what they were doing. The lady made a ridiculous comment and told me that I was in the spirit's space (there was nobody there) and the spirit did not like it. I do enjoy ghost walks but stupidity has a limit. When you point your emfs toys in the air and talk to people who are not there, and tell real people that they are invading a ghost's space, that's just insane. I thought of complaining but then I realised there were just guests. Now I do understand it's not fair to give you a poor review but a customer's overall experience reflects back on the hosting company. What if such people tell a fellow visitor, "the spirit is not happy with your presence, you need to leave". Imagine the impact this will have on your business. Alternatively, let me give you a suggestion. Organise a whole separate "ghost hunt" event and allow such people to bring their equipment and communicate with the spirits. Separate...

Some businesses cant take fair comments , Sales details said turn up 10 minutes b4 hand , pushed on door, loud dog barking from inside, after 10 minutes someone came out with black bags and was oblivious to those waiting outside ! havingTurned up at 5.50 for 6.00 ghost tour.

Standing outside, obviously waiting to go in. Guy brings out rubbish, said nothing to us..at 6.10., doors still closed.

Rang their number, " it's cancelled tonight, guide is sick " they could have put a notice outside, or said something to waiting customers....not impressed at lack of politeness or consideration.

Note owners response, attempts to reverse victim and offender. As stated no notice on doors that venue was closed, and walked by us with black rubbish bags to drop in the road. Some people can't accept criticism.

Also gives false summary of other reviews, given 4 and 5 star ratings for some and lower where appropriate.

The bad reviews posted relate to major restaurant chains, Sainsbury and a huge car parts distributor and B and Q.

The five star reviews relate to excellent tradespeople who understand time keeping etc and whose work is 100%.

As said all this operation cant take is a tiny criticism, would take 30 secs to pin notice on door , or not ignore waiting customers outside. In Stratford-on-Avon would Highly recommend the Shakespeare Schoolhouse experience ,fantastic value , professionally operated, highly...

In the interest of moderation (and being the Devil's Advocate) , I also spoke with these guys and actually asked pertinent questions about the circumstance, more importantly, I listened.

If the negative reviewers also took this time and listened, they may appreciate the situation. It is a difficult circumstance that was very well managed by the school and thus far appropriately managed by Tudor World.

I can totally understand high emotions as our children are involved yet perhaps take a step back from yourselves and recognise that certain situations are out of control.

Contemplate that you run a decent business, and something happens which is totally wrong but in all reasonable expectations you cannot predict or control,.. how would you feel if you had to manage the situation whilst being bombarded by comments which you agree with the point but of course would have loved the hindsight to have prevented?

If your hand on heart answer is that you will fall on the sword and take that responsibility and the only way to prevent such things happening is to shut the business and NEVER run another business, good on you, I truly admire your ethics.

I can understand the angst, yet I would like think we also led our children by example.

The school and the Tudor World and handling the situation, if you find anything amiss after this process, perhaps then is the time to...

Fantastic place me and my husband loved it the history is brilliant. Will definitely return for the ghost tour. We came back for the ghost tour and got showed around by winafred she really looks and plays the part we'll really enjoyed it. My husband also had a ghostly encounter with Lucy in the school. Came back a 3rd time tonight for the Victorian seance and it was brilliant. Winafred and John really looked the part. Can't wait for the Christmas event this year and the jack the ripper when it returns. Would highly recommend going staff are polite and helpful. It's a fantastic experience. Uploaded a photo we took in the Attic on the night of the Victoria seance of a green orb with a face in it. WILL SEE YOU AGAIN SOON..... Well we came back for the jack the ripper event and it was fantastic, was happy to see it was more about the victims which was good... The spring healed Jack was amazing too... And really enjoyed the Halloween ghost hunt.. The dressed up plauge Doctor was great and allowed us to take a picture.. See you again soon

Look at my reviews. 98% are positive. I love complimenting great locations, food, people and service but None of that was here . Pass this up and head to Hampton Court Palace if you want to learn the same info with engaged, live actors in a much better setting. No friendly welcome, small, dingy and not a single person anywhere. A few tus bits were interesting but it was like reading the Tudor assignment of a student posted on walls throughout rooms. So much reading. Writing with a quill was fun but that was it. Glorified student project. Just go sit on the Avon and read horrible histories instead or better yet head to Hampton Court palace. Not a single actor or guide anywhere just endless posters to read. Moldy smell, dismal and mostly boring. Not a single staff member there except women checking us in who ignored us. I can’t believe all the positive reviews. So opposite of our experience

Fantastic educational, spooky and historical tour. I thoroughly enjoyed the hour long experience given by Winnifred, one of the senior guides. Be prepared for a journey back in time through a building that has witnessed dozens of murdered and disappearances. It's advised to book in advance to avoid disappointment, also not recommended for minors under 11 (with this age group, being terrified is one thing, but also censors the guides gruesome details). I highly recommend a visit when you're in Stratford. I will most certainly visit again.
