I came for a meal here with my parents after a winter walk. As it was a snowy December evening we were excited to get into the warm and enjoy a meal. However as soon as we were sat down we were freezing, believing this to be a draft (we were seated by a window) we asked to move to a table near two portable heaters. Upon moving we realised it wasn’t the window, the entire restaurant was freezing cold with the portable heaters having little effect unless you were holding your hands directly over them. We ate our meal with our coats over our knees, this was easily the coldest place we have ever eaten in by far. Please bear in mind because we had been out walking we were all wearing thermal layers under our clothes but despite this we were unbelievably cold. We noticed the waitresses began to tell people who arrived after us about the issues with the heating. They were apologetic with us however we wish we had been warned before we sat down. Had we known how cold it would be we would have eaten elsewhere. Other customers remarked to each other and us how cold they were too. When going to the bathrooms I could actually see my breath! The food was lovely however the freezing temperature made the experience uncomfortable and ruined any chances of us enjoying our meal. We actually felt sorry for the staff working in such a chilly atmosphere. No reductions on the bill nor the offer of a complimentary drink.

Food was fine, as to be expected from a chain. My penne arrabiatta was aldente and nicely spicy. The calzone was a bit burnt with an undressed salad making up the rest of the plate. My other friends cheese and mushroom pasta was tasty but nothing interesting. The aperol spritz were rather poor and need work. Why a 4 stars you might think? Well, we were meeting for my friends birthday and atmosphere and service plays heavily in the overall experience, and this was outstanding. Our servers Beth, Katie and one other girl whose name I didn't catch went above and beyond to make our night special. My friend whose birthday it was felt truly celebrated. They were also really thorough about my allergy to dairy and came back to reassure me what I'd eaten would be dairy free. We got chatting to the couple on the table next to us and the waitresses were more than happy to sing happy birthday at the top of their lungs and bring more side plates and takeaway boxes to split the cake. Kudos to them and it's really reassuring to see that people still care about providing good hospitality. So, with that in mind if you're looking for a meal that will wow your socks off then this isn't likely the place for you. However, if you're more looking for a lovely atmosphere then I'd highly reccomend this spot. Would I come back? Without a doubt

Me and my boyfriend visited this restaurant back in June on holiday. We booked a table for the evening, upon arrival the woman on front of house just nodded to our table without greeting us or really talking to us at all which we felt came across quite abrupt and rude. If she had just been an inexperienced server it wouldn't have been a big deal and we're very understanding of how difficult the job is (we both work in hospitality/retail) however we believe that she was part of management so I don't think her attitude was up to scratch. One of the forks on our table was also dirty so we had to ask to swap it for another one. We ordered margaritas as our drinks which were nice, the selection of cocktails and the price of the drinks was pretty good, so that is a positive. For our starters we shared bruschetta and arancini which were really tasty and well presented, definitely the best part of our meal. We then had a pizza for our main which was decent, however not amazing to say this is one of the menu options the company really markets itself on. Overall we had a nice time and the starters were great, the other servers seemed friendly too, however the attitude of the manager and the slightly disappointing main means we won't be rushing back.

Very bad experience. My fiancée and I visited whilst staying in Stratford-upon-Avon for the night.

The baked carbonaras were fine, as were the sweet potato fries. We also ordered a mozzarella garlic bread to share with our mains. When it arrived, I noticed that it was mozzarella and some very sickly caramelised onions. This was not noted on the menu and so we requested a replacement. After about 20 minutes, we'd both finished our mains and the replacement had not arrived, so this had to be cancelled. From this point onwards, it was like we became invisible to the staff members.

No one took our plates away, nor did they ask us if we'd like to see a desert menu. There was only two other tables in the restaurant at this point, yet our "server" (Miguel) and a woman who looked extremely depressed continued to wander about the restaurant whilst avoiding the area in which we were sitting.

I gave up and went to ask for the bill. I paid and after leaving noticed the 10% service charge. I normally check for service charges, but just wanted to get out of there. I wish I'd noticed, not due to the cost, but because it felt wrong to be paying for non-existent service.

As a side note: the restaurant appears very small, but when you go to the toilets, you'll notice that there are many more tables than you would first expect. The team prefer you to all be crampt next to each other, possibly so they can stand around the back doing anything apart from serving their customers.

I'd avoid this particular branch of Wildwood. I'd also recommend that the people at Tasty plc implement better training for the staff here; they'd be better suited to a McDonald's or...

Our older children being greeted at the entrance at 8.10pm and being advised “just so you know, we close at 9.15, will you have enough time” and when my son answered, “yes, that’s fine” received the response of “are you sure” should have been a red flag .. the kids also mentioned that a couple seated ahead of them weren’t asked any such questions, they were seated in a pleasant manner! … what made the experience even more bizarre was when at 9.05pm, an elderly couple came into the restaurant and were seated pleasantly right next to us! .. I’ve since found that the restaurant actually closes at 9.30pm, as clearly stated on their own website!

Once we had joined our children, we decided to stay as we were quite hungry but the service was very frosty and indifferent throughout, the only staff member who seemed remotely engaged was Megan who was great! .. the food was surprisingly quite good apart from the portion indifference between the penne arrabbiata and baked chicken and mushroom penne (the latter was quite small for a main pasta dish) and the pizza picante carne tasted as though it had been made in a rush. The drinks were really good, especially the strawberry lemonade and the passion fruit crush!

We very much value service as much as we do the food whenever we dine out and on this occasion, we were quite let down by wildwood staff and their indifferent approach towards customers, appreciate a family of 4 may be a bigger task for the kitchen than a couple of diners but this should never be obvious to any customers at all .. do...

After only just landing in stratford upon avon for few days stay ,Called in on the off chance a table for 2 would be free !...as it was a Wednesday in August & "the eat out to help out "half price offer was on ! In hindsight ,id of wished the place had been full or had walked past as the evening experience wasn't great. After only few mins wait & giving the hands a sanitise with the gel,a table was soon found ,got handed menu's with strict instructions to fill in the track& trace info via their wi-fi on your own mobile phone .The waitress soon returned &took our drinks order but wouldn't take a food order cos my mobile phone woudnt pick up a signal to gain access to the wi-fi. Luckily or unlucky in our case ,my wife's phone was on different network & able to fill the track & trace details ! ...& progress with the meal. Our food order was a chicken& meatball calzone and a Spagetti Bolognese !... The Calzone was ok but nothing special & wouldn't of been worth the full price ! ,& the Spaghetti dish was a disgrace, very very dry Spagetti & mince meat with no sauce ,making it dry as a bone, .a costly half price dish ! ..parmesan cheese or Black pepper was never offered but would of only added to the dryness. The waitress did check upon us with the food,The dry factor was mentioned &we did get offered an alternative which we didn't take up .I did see another table send a dish back to the kitchen aswel ,Overall a poor evening from the start to finish from our...
