Enjoyable time at this lovely beach, we didn't have to set foot on the sand. Plenty to do on the bay.

We went on a Sunday in the summer holidays around 2 pm and it took us more than half an hour to find parking. The beach is really bad as it is muddy and sticks to your body, however if you stay at the start of the beach the sand is soft and clean, also the water is very brown and dirty. Another bad thing is that there is 0 water facilities to clean yourself with, so we couldn't clean ourselves after being in the dirty water and sand, also the male toilets were locked off and were hiding behind a big dirty puddle of mud, sand and water. The toilets were extremely dirty and unhygienic. Is not as show in pictures. This beach isn't kid friendly and I would only recommend this place if you're going sunbathing and...

Beach is great but avoid peak times as you'll run into the...

I have been visiting Whitmore Bay Barry Island all my life at 73 it still holds a special place to come to. It has a lovely stretch of sand and there are Life guards on duty and the flags show you where you can safely swim. Lots of cafe's and places to eat food. There are plenty of bench seats along the frontage where you can walk you can even sit and enjoy a picnic. Views on a good day are lovely you can see the Somerset coast and you can watch the shipping either going up the Channel to Bristol or making its way out of the Bristol Channel to far flung places. The Funfair is always busy if you like all the fun...
