We went on a Sunday in the summer holidays around 2 pm and it took us more than half an hour to find parking. Read moreI have been visiting Whitmore Bay Barry Island all my life at 73 it still holds a special place to come to. It has a lovely stretch of sand and there are Life guards on duty and the flags show you where you can safely swim. Lots of cafe's and places to eat food. There are plenty of bench seats along the frontage where you can walk you can even sit and enjoy a picnic. Views on a good day are lovely you can see the Somerset coast and you can watch the shipping either going up the Channel to Bristol or making its way out of the Bristol Channel to far flung places. The Funfair is always busy if you like all the fun...
