Amazing when lit up at Christmas. Great walk around the harbour and a new Christmas tradition. We loved seeing the effort that had gone into lighting up the boats. It was a really magical sight and we always finish the evening off with a drink and meal at one of the many restaurants near by. Thanks to all involved.

Absolutely brilliant, worthwhile visiting by all means unique walks virtually trough the harbour itself. It is a real shame that ferries are no longer sailing to Oostende Belgium. This used to be second busiest passengers port in the country and truckers favourite route, not long ago!

Beautiful harbour, sandwiched between the town and the beach. Plenty of good restaurants and pubs, from the quirky Belgian Bar to the mainstream Wetherspoons (their largest in the country). With the marina packed with yachts, it looks more continental than English seaside resort.

This is the only Royal harbour in the country. It is beautiful especially at night with all the boats lit up. You can walk along the harbour wall and can have trips on boats. The tall ships are amazing to see. The seagulls chase the fishing boats which sell fresh fish on the corner of the harbour. It was vessels of all sizes that left Ramsgate harbour to brave the deep sea and danger to rescue our own soldiers stranded just in Dunkirk, France. Historic and beautiful with many bars and restaurants overlooking it for a wonderful view whilst you...

Ramsgate 's Royal harbour is the only Royal harbour in England, it has many facilities including a inner harbour, also a very good restaurant at the end of the east side, a shower /toilets /and washing machines provided for use by the boat owners using the harbour. On the land side it has many restaurants and shipwrights if your boat needs repairs. It's certainly one of the best harbour 's in England, and not too far from France or the...

For visitors Ramsgate port offers visitors fishing trips and excursions to see local sea wildlife, including seals. The port is surrounded by lots of cafes, bars and restaurants. It's a great visit in the sunshine, not overcrowded like some seafront towns as the train station is not close to the port. The port offers good marina services for any boat owners, a life on a boat in this port seems...
