I visited this Restaurant quite early in the Evening and I was the only customer at that time. Unfortunately the atmosphere was somewhat subdued! I have been a couple of times before and remembered that the specials on the blackboard resulted in some excellent but a little different. I therefore ordered the Lambs liver starter, and the Lamb chop main. I was not disappointed! Before the starter I was presented with a small aperitif which was a couple of mouthfuls, but packed a punch! The lambs liver was excellent and presented beautifully. Then a small cup of spiced mushroom soup, again powerful and tasty. The main course was tandoor lamb chops served on a crushed potato bed, and accompanied with plain rice and a generous cashew sauce. I drank a 500ml Pale Ale from a local brewery (Gadds No.3). The meal was fabulous!! I don’t live locally but if I did I would be here regularly. The bill was £26. Bargain.

By far the best meal I've had in forever. We started with poppadoms and chutney- incredibly light and tasty. Chicken korma was unreal, as was the lamb biryani for main (wait for the sauce to come out before digging in!). I had the cheese Naan and we had a plate or peshwari Naan - both fantastic. The Tikka chatt for started had a beautiful kick to it and was full of flavour. The added extras that we didn't expect just topped everything off. We had mushroom soup and a vegetable pastry complimentary. This is by far a 5/5 star meal at unbelievable prices. I can't recommend highly enough. Only managed to get a couple of pictures as we scoffed it down as soon as we got the chance. Presentation is stunning. I'd recommend booking if you can, we arrived at around half 4 and by half 5 the place was filling up with reservations. Service incredible. Highly recommend.

I had an absolutely delightful dining experience! The garlic naan was perfectly soft with a beautiful char and just the right amount of garlic—an ideal complement to the rich, flavorful curries. The paneer curry was creamy and comforting, with paneer cubes that melted in the mouth. The chicken curry was aromatic and well-spiced, while the mutton curry was tender and deeply satisfying, full of bold, traditional flavors. What truly elevated the experience, though, was the exceptional hospitality. The staff were warm, attentive, and made me feel genuinely welcome throughout the meal. It’s rare to find such a perfect balance of great food and heartfelt service. Highly recommended.

We were disappointed this evening by the disinterested service and over spiced food. This is our 2nd visit, the first 7 Years ago, while holidaying in Ramsgate. The evening started well, while quiet at 7pm, we were served quickly. We were offered 2 free taster starters prior to our mains, which was nice and not unexpected, having been before, however my main of Chicken Biriani and accompanying side of mainly Cougette Curry, was so heavily spiced with Chilli it was almost inedible. Leaving me choking on Chilli half way through, gulping water and unable to finish it. I am no stranger to this dish, it is normally mild or medium spiced at most, with lots of flavour. This was so over spiced, I could taste nothing but chilli! My hubbie ordered 2 Veggie Dishes which were also very spicy, but he likes his chilli's, so was fine. He did comment that both Dishes tasted the same though! I did explain to the Waiter why i had not finished my meal, he showed absolutely no interest or concern. To finish off and to cool my burning throat we ordered 2 Mango Kulfi's. Again served quickly, but all we received was Vanilla Ice Cream. I questioned the Waiter who assured me they were Mango Kulfi's. Well, if so where was the Mango flavour and why were they not Cone Shaped, as i have been served before at other restaurants? Overall very disappointed and will not return. The waiter and other male staff standing around, had no care or customer service. I did not make a fuss, but left without leaving a tip, which should speak volumes. I was reluctant to leave a review, but feel the only way this restaurant can improve, is to care more for paying customers. I feel at a total Bill of over £65 we deserved better customer service and food, than we received tonight.

Also found the Ladies toilet less than hygienic with mouldy areas and some grimy areas, including spiders in the the main restaurant area. A good clean and a lick of...

I was greeted by a wonderful venue just a minute from the centre, yet in it's own little corner of Effingham Street away from the bustle of the busy town, a very calm and welcoming atmosphere. I was brought to a table immediately without a booking which did not cause any issues whatsoever. I found the restaurant comforting to be in and absorb my surroundings.

Usually starters can be rather hit-or-miss but there was no question with my Stir Fry Squid - the portion size was perfect with a surprising variety of sauces as well as the poppadoms and dips served with that. The squid is the greatest serving of a seafood plate I've ever had the pleasure of consuming. Along with my remarkable main course of Goan Fish Curry, I can truly confirm this is the #1 Indian restaurant/takeaway in the area of Thanet, and the best I've had. I was also surprised by a complimentary soup between my appetiser and main which again demonstrates how Flavours by Kumar goes above and beyond expectations, like no other, to make the meal special.

The service by Louis was so prompt and kind that this absolutely secures Flavours By Kumar close to my heart as an exceptional choice for a romantic date setting, a formal occasion and also a family venue. The ultimate Indian dining experience, none...

We visited Flavours by Kumar last night and, sadly, left extremely disappointed. At first, things seemed promising - the restaurant smelled wonderful, the atmosphere was nice, and the staff were initially friendly. We ordered 4 starters for £18 (paneer, onion bhaji, prawns, and chicken tikka) followed by a lamb biryani. The first few of the starters were delicious, but when cutting into the chicken tikka we discovered it was raw - after my partner had already eaten a large piece.

We reported it immediately. The first staff member who served us was polite and offered another portion, but our appetite was gone. We asked for the bill, only to find that nothing had been deducted for the raw chicken and no apology was given. When we raised the issue with a different staff member, he was rude and dismissive. After pushing, he reluctantly removed just £5 from the bill.

We had heard such great things about this restaurant, but this experience has completely put us off returning. To make matters worse, my partner has been unwell all day with food poisoning, missing work and losing income.

This was not only disappointing service but also a serious food...
