Lots to like about this place, some pleasant punters here, staff nice, decorations and atmosphere are fab, tables have funky decorations in them too, it's a bit snug for some folks, but there are a good few seats/tables/stools around the place and also some booths too, and overall it has a good feel to it and feels very welcoming.

Food, which is the reason I went in, it is ok, mostly mediocre, lots of things that could be improved here to elevate the food experience, and most of them, sadly, small things that just stop your plate of food being better than just ok, which is a shame really.

Not going to go into detail with this, because experienced kitchen crew/managers should already be doing these things.

The Mariners is clearly well loved by many folks, which is great, it has a lot to offer visitors, but I probably won't go back again, at least for a while anyway, I only tried it out for the food and 3 meals is enough to get the gist of the kitchen's output and for me there are other places that just do things better or do them just as well and...

Shame! If only I could get in! visiting Ramsgate for a few days which we do regularly, this time in an electric wheelchair due to accident, hopefully not permantly but I was able to see things from a disabled person's eyes for the 1st time! After spending a lovely morning mooching around we decided we would go to Mariners for late lunch & drinks with friends as it looked so festive & inviting, but unfortunately couldn't get in due a simple thing, a little cement at the front threshold where it is missing would create a little lip allowing access. We love Ramsgate and while we appreciate not possible for some bussinesses others could just give their places a little thought & make them accessible. You can purchase simple foldaway threshold ramps relatively cheap, certainly for less than we would have spent. We really hope you address this as it is only to point out something that has been probably overlooked. Kind...

This is an excellent pub - had a nice bit of live music on, nice sound setup and good mixing of an acoustic evening, nice 'band' area. We sat outside as I had my little dog sweety with me and I enjoyed the sea air after quite a long drive. The bar is really nice with a nice selection of beers and ciders, both draft and in the fridge. It did get super busy but the staff done a great job in making sure everyone got served. I would say this bar is beyond 'dog friendly' its SUPER friendly ! The lovely young lady gave my little dog 3 ribs which he utterly devoured - the trouble now is hes turning his nose up at his dog food ! My little dog sweety got plenty of positive attention with nice punters and friendly staff, even tho it was a busy Friday I had no problem stting outside with Sweety, was a great evening and big thanks to staff for such a warm welcome and giving sweety some...

We visited the Mariners Bar on a family break away. We were not expecting much, however we were very pleased to have found a real gem of Ramsgate. The staff, especially Laura, we're incredibly friendly. The pub had a refurbishment during the COVID lockdown and it is absolutely fabulous. The attention to detail and the decor all add to make a great ambience. The pub is wheelchair friendly and dog friendly. The menu on a Tuesday night a smaller pizza and sides menu, but we had a fantastic meal which was very reasonably priced. We visited the next day on a Wednesday and there was a different, much fuller menu choice. However, even the pizza and sides menu had plenty of choice. Chicken wings, salt and pepper squid, garlic mushrooms etc. The pizza was cooked to perfection. It wasn't crowded so it was easy to get a table. Would 100% recommend this pub to anyone.

This pub overlooking the harbour has a nice atmosphere. There wasn't much of a crowd on a Tuesday afternoon in early June. There are the usual drinks you'd expect for a pub- ale, gins etc. and non-alcoholic options too (J20, 0% cider etc). A J20 was £3, so the kind of money you'd probably expect to pay. There was a board outside showing when bands would be playing live music in the evening during the week. The toilets are decorated in line with the theme of the pub. There's a pool table at the back.
