I absolutely love this place, I often come here when I want a bit of peace and quite and love to be near the river. During the summer you can find a quiet spot to picnic, or have a wander around in beautiful nature and take a seat to rest your legs. There are public toilets and a children's play area. Dog's are welcome here too and it's a lovely open space for them. It's also a nice place to come and enjoy a cuppa and catch up...

Very cold when we visited but in the warmer weather, I can only see the gardens really busy. Evidence of an Abbey, ponds and a water way, lots of history and a great play park for children. Parking is small but if you get a spot, it's free for 1 hour but u need to get a ticket with your number plate on it, I think, £2 after that. Walking distance to the town centre. We saw a few people...

Beautiful, well-maintained gardens with flowerbeds which change according to the season and well cropped lawns. Wide, sandy walkways (which have a tendency to flood) make their way past the flowers and there are plenty of wooden benches if you want to do more than merely walk through on your way elsewhere. The garden is ok, it takes for one to see one and you saw all of them, manicured, nothing remarkable. Located on the site of the former Abingdon Abbey, not far from the river, with one distinctive feature characteristic of the whole city, there is nothing to see nothing to do - the whole city is one big coffee shop
