[the issue described below was rectified in our next visit] We are regulars in this place. Today after a set of breakfast orders, we decided to order something sweet and went with Ice Cream and Fruits Crepe. I was served by a female at the till, although the receipt that I'm sharing here says Rob. Normally this item is listed at £8.20 on the menu (see the attached picture). My order included vanilla ice cream, strawberries and blueberries as the fruit and wanted to add chocolate sauce. I was asked to pay £12 and thought this doesn't feel right (ie far too expensive than what it should be). When I scrutinised with the person at the till, I was told that it doesn't work as it is stated on the menu and all the orders start with an empty crepe which is £5 and everything else is added as extras. When I pointed out that the menu item says Ice Cream & Fruits, it is logically that one needs to declare their choice of ice cream flavours and fruit selections, I received the same answer. When I asked, what would I be served if I order the item as it is stated on the menu ie what would be the ice cream flavour or the fruit selection, the person mumbled away and was not able to give me a convincing answer as to what would one receive. I wanted to continue until I was satisfied, but the queue started to build up behind me and out of respect to the other customers, I decided to give in and paid the full £12. What would one expect is that, the person at the till should acknowledge the confusing menu (actually not confusing but simply does not make sense), allow me to pay £8.20 as it stated (maybe just charge the additional chocolate sauce) and report to the manager that they need to revise the menu such that customers are clear as to what they are paying for and what would they receive. I'm very hopeful that the manager/owner will rectify our dissatisfaction. At least until then, we are not planning to return to this place, hence the 1* rating

Been here a few times now, sometimes for a quick coffee and sometimes for a brunch / lunch. Every time, I have been welcomed by cheery friendly staff who are always willing to help. The place generally has a very positive vibe. There is ample seating inside and out. Outside you have to be aware that the seating isn't directly in front and a bit to the right facing outside. We had one time where our food orders took 20+mins and they'd forgotten one of our orders which was a tad disappointing given the reviews but perhaps it was a bad day so willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. You have to order at the counter and they bring food the the table. Most times I've usually had a hot drink. Coffee is good, not life changing but does the trick. Food is so-so. I've ordered a few things from sandwiches to paninis and what's been disappointing is the lack of oopmh / seasonings / garnishes / salads. For example, going the other week I ordered a chicken and chorizo sandwich, which while nice, it was just that on the plate and nothing else. For the price, I would have expected a small side salad or crisps to eat with it. Other than the above, as a small cafe serving good food and drinks can't really go wrong and will probably be visiting again.

Loved it here. First time and we'll be back! Lush coffee, generous milkshake and a delicious chocolate cake (cake portion, bit on the small side mind). Lovely chilled atmosphere, children welcome, smiley happy staff and beautifully clean toilets. Deffo coming back to try the crepes and scones.

I walked in this morning and the doors were open (there was no opening time on the doors and A-board was outside so I assumed that cafe was open). Young girl told me what time it is (which I knew) I was surprised by her attitude I didn't ask her what time it was. She said it's closed I asked why door were open if they were closed? or no sign that its closed? She just made some comment which I didn't hear as music was loud and she had mask on. At no point she apologized she just made me feel I'm wrong to come in. Then a man appeared and repeated that its closed as I was leaving he said "off you go" !! I don't know how they want to pick up after lockdown. I certainly won't be spending my money there and I will make sure all my friends and family won't go there. I would be easier if she closed the door or just be polite and said "I'm sorry were opening at 9" I would not have problem with that.

response to owner: Again.. You are lying here. One star is for bad customer service not for not being open and opening time wasn't on the door if it was I wouldn't go in (no one was putting boards outside). I could hear her clearly. If you carry on discussion on public view like that then let people decide whose fault it is.. I find your response very intimidating. I used to spend nearly £10 daily on my lunch there. I'll make a saving now. I had amazing service at Costa so I'll choose them from now...
