Abingdon Spice — Restaurant in Vale of White Horse

My experience at Abingdon spice was out of this world! I studied for approximately 14 hours on where I wanted to dine on my Wednesday evening in the town of Abingdon. When I came across Abingdon Spice my heart skipped several beats. I knew. I just knew. This was where I wanted to spend my Wednesday evening. I then spent the next three days and nights looking through the windows and 'using the toilets' to see how this place works and if I could spot any hickup's. I saw no major flaw's whatsoever! Then came the big day. I took the day off of work on wednesday to prepare myself. Could not have asked for a more pleasant experience. The service was incredible, they brought my meal on time and it was the perfect temperature, not to mention the flavour was absolutely incredible! If I could I would rate my experience 7 stars out of the 5 that Google has allowed me to use.

this is absolutely the WORST indian ive ever had, i bought the prawn madras with sagg rice. was not curry consistency, it was a pool of oil with a bit of chilli tomato liquid on top. tasted like chili oil that may have looked at a tomato once. the prawns were chewy, not normal prawn chewy they were hard to get through. and the rice did not taste like i expect sagg rice to taste like, if was literally just normal rice with too much green herbs on top, not pleasant. i couldnt even get a couple bites through because it made me feel ill and still does an hour later. we couldn’t even feed it to the dogs it was that bad, wed be doing them a disservice. then they called to see how it was and we told them. they refused a refund and asked for the curry back??? im sorry who does that....

This place is nice, since some changes were made it's definitely improved and the food is really good. The staff and the restaurant are fantastic however sometimes I do think they need to have a bit of a word with the people delivering the food. That's the first time I got this it was a bit bashed in.

But the food itself is actually very very nice and has a lot of decent flavours and cooked very well. As I had some bad experiences with the actual delivery of the food I decided to just go and collect the food when I ordered from here and I have a good experience every time.

Also if you want to eat in it's very nice The staff are very intensive and the portions and for what you get are very good you walk away very full...
