A good concept but very poor execution.

A lot of money for below-par food and drinks (not the first time either as we've experienced the same at the Wembley TGI). We were a party of 5 adults and 4 children. Despite the children eating 'for free' the bill was still £187. That would be ok if we all enjoyed the food and drink but we didn't. We also waited about 45mins for our food to come, which is such a long time to keep very hungry children occupied for. Milkshakes are £7.50 EACH. The mocktails are 2 for 1 but are about 90% water and ice - there is barely any flavour to them at all (and you have to order two of the same to get the 2 for 1 offer. We ordered the passion fruit one and raspberry one, neither tasted of any fruit whatsoever). My main was the steak frites, supposedly in garlic butter. It was barely warm, literally a piece of steak on the plate, a grilled tomato and a limp mushroom with chips - no presentation, no finishing touches, absolutely no taste whatsoever - completely bland. The chips for everyone were cold. The beans were completely mushy. The batter on the prawns was very hard. There was nothing enjoyable about eating the food. Eating food, especially when you pay A LOT OF MONEY for it, should be enjoyable and delightful. You should go away feeling happy and content. We had none of those feelings walking out after dinner - just sheer disappointment at the cost and inadequacy of it all. We make way better at home and pay less than £5 per head (for steak and chips anyway). Can't fault the staff who are hard working and lovely . They did the TGI birthday chant for our son and gave him a lovely piece of birthday cake - that was probably the best 'food' any of us had. Not somewhere we'll hurry back to or even consider again, even if 'kids eat free'.

Once again, a good concept but very poor execution...

Started out really good. The staff that seat you are very friendly and thats what's earned the 1 star. However, the total bare minimum experience that any diner should receive in return for spending money on food and service is not available here.

It took them some time to seat us even though I had booked several weeks in advance (special occasion with a large group) so we were hungry and immediately ready to order. We waited 20 mins for someone to come over to our table, even though I asked many times, nicely, if someone could come by. I was finally successful in waving someone over. We ordered drinks and food in one go. Waited over 30 mins for food, just to have some meals not arrive that went "missing" and had to be recooked. Drinks didn't arrive for ages until most of our food was done. Including tap water... how is that even possible.

In terms of food quality, ordered a chicken burger, paid £18.50 for a dry burger with 3x chicken nuggets on it. We asked if we got a kids meal by mistake. We did not. We had no cutlery. Another thing we had to ask multiple times for.

Not a single time did anyone come by to ask if everything was OK or did we want anything else. Every step of the way we had to work at getting further in the dining process. Nothing offered in the way of compensation for all the mistakes. I eventually waited at the til to pay because I just wanted out of there. There was no service charge included, the staff knew it was bad.

I grew up in the states and over there, TGIs is a low quality fast food place disguised as a family dining experience. I should have trusted what I know but i thought it would be a fun place to celebrate with this particular group. There is a 0% chance I'd...

Well this is the worst experience I’ve ever had going out to eat. My wife and I arrived and was shown to our table, the table had just been cleaned but was still rather sticky. We looked through the menu and could not believe the prices they were charging for some items, for example £4.30 for a can of Dr Pepper is absolutely extortionate.

We only ordered mains as the starter prices were absolutely ridiculous £9.50 for 3 halloumi fries is again extortionate.

My wife ordered her favourite as normal, sesame chicken. I ordered the New York strip (which is a steak) I ordered mine rare. We ordered drinks at the same time. My wife had a bottomless soda and I had a Moretti. It took a long time for the drinks to come and when the waitress finally brought our drinks they were not on a tray and she was holding them at the top of the glass. My beer was flat and when our food arrived I was disgusted at what was brought to me as in the pictures I have posted my steak was over done and flat. It was the cheapest steak that had ever been served to me at a restaurant and this meal was being charged at £29.80. I had to get the attention of the staff so I could send it back and I told them I didn’t want another one. So only one of us had eaten, no one checked to see if we was ok and when I asked for the bill we had to wait 10 minutes for the bill. It was very quiet so I don’t understand why it took so long.

I will not be returning to TGI Fridays again until there are major changes as this is not worth any of my money and no one should be paying these prices for the quality they offer.

If I could give minus stars I would, there is so much more I could write but I think I’ve said enough. Shame on you...

Our Watford dining experience was a major letdown. We had high hopes for our £30 meal, but it was overshadowed by the presence of burnt food. If you happen to have a preference for dishes with a charred flavor profile, this might align with your taste. However, for us, it was a disappointing occurrence that cast a shadow over the entire evening. Our excitement for a delicious meal quickly deflated as plates with charred edges and overcooked portions were placed before us. It became evident that the kitchen had not maintained the quality we had heard about. The burnt food not only impacted the taste but also the texture, leaving us with a sense of regret for choosing this restaurant. What could have been an enjoyable evening turned into a frustrating experience. We couldn't help but wonder if the staff had noticed the charred state of the dishes they were serving. The overpowering burnt flavors made it challenging to appreciate any subtleties in the cooking. Considering the reputation of the establishment, our expectations were far from met. It's disheartening when a dining experience falls so short of one's expectations, especially after investing both time and money into it. At £30, we had hoped for a meal that would leave us satisfied and content, but sadly, it was quite the opposite. In conclusion, if you have a preference for burnt food, this restaurant might align with your taste. However, if you're seeking a dining experience that lives up to its price tag and reputation, Watford might not be the best choice. Our disappointment with the burnt food overshadowed any positives, leaving us feeling regretful about our dining decision that evening.
