The Minster Gallery Ltd — Attraction in Winchester

Awfully run place. Myself and my partner walked in looking to invest in some artwork for our new house. We are a fairly young couple, and when the woman who we assume was the owner opened the door she took one look at us, ignored us, and promptly carried on taking a personal call. We decided to carry on looking and regardless and saw a piece that we were interested in. We approached her (she was stood by the door) to ask her about a piece with the intention of buying. Instead of pausing her personal call, she opened the door to usher us out. We found it so horribly rude that we decided not to pursue purchasing anything from her, and will not be coming back. I would avoid this place at all costs; if you aren't a late middle aged white heterosexual couple the woman inside will treat you like trash, regardless of whether you intend to buy or not. Clearly not interested in making money, and absolutely focused on her white middle class cliquey...

Could not disagree more with the previous review. My partner and I went in to choose a painting to register for as a wedding gift and had a wonderful experience. We are also a young couple. The lady who works in the gallery, was absolutely charming and really helpful in suggesting artists that might be suitable to match both of our tastes. They have a stunning range of really interesting artists and the service we received was helpful and friendly. Could not recommend...
