The Gurkha Museum is truly a must-see! It offers a fascinating insight into the history of the Gurkha soldiers and their incredible contributions, especially during WWI. The exhibits are well-curated and you really get to feel the hard work and sacrifices of the Gurkha army. Read moreWe decided to take a look at this museum as we were in Winchester for the day. The museum is housed in a beautiful building. Car parking is available (get a permit from reception). It’s free entry for Art Fund Pass otherwise currently only a fiver. It’s a small museum as it takes up only a portion of the building, but had some nice interactive displays. Read moreThe Gurkha museum is over a couple of floors, so interesting to see how the soldiers of the Brigade of Gurkha have evolved and fought over the last few hundred years. This place added to my knowledge of these fine soldiers. Also had some cadets with me, they thoughly enjoyed themselves and learnt a lot. This museum along with the AGC, the Royal Hampshires, the Hussars and the RGJ/Rifles museums means this is an absolutely fantastic complex of museums and the cafe in the old guardroom...
