The Gurkha Museum is truly a must-see! It offers a fascinating insight into the history of the Gurkha soldiers and their incredible contributions, especially during WWI. The exhibits are well-curated and you really get to feel the hard work and sacrifices of the Gurkha army. One of the highlights for me was the mannequin corners — they’re so realistic that it feels like you're stepping back in time. It’s not just informative, but also immersive. Highly recommend visiting to learn about such an inspiring...

We decided to take a look at this museum as we were in Winchester for the day. The museum is housed in a beautiful building. Car parking is available (get a permit from reception). It’s free entry for Art Fund Pass otherwise currently only a fiver. It’s a small museum as it takes up only a portion of the building, but had some nice interactive displays. A lot of displays were quite text heavy. They are working on improving and modernising their collection so looking forward to seeing that...

The Gurkha museum is over a couple of floors, so interesting to see how the soldiers of the Brigade of Gurkha have evolved and fought over the last few hundred years. This place added to my knowledge of these fine soldiers. Also had some cadets with me, they thoughly enjoyed themselves and learnt a lot. This museum along with the AGC, the Royal Hampshires, the Hussars and the RGJ/Rifles museums means this is an absolutely fantastic complex of museums and the cafe in the old guardroom...

First time I have visted here in several years but always good to see. My late after served in Burma in WW2 in the signals along side the Gurkha regiments fighting the Japanese. Fearless bravery against horrendous conditions. My father served 2 years out there slogging away to beat the Japanese and survival was almost impossible but he made it. I later worked along side the Gurkha bodyguards and security team looking after the Brunei Royal Family when in UK.

Was very impressed with amount of quality artifacts at The Gurkha museum, which also had lots of interactive elements and was full of important memorabilia with a stacked literary floor. Charlie Martin, head of fundraising and marketing gave us full insight into their upcoming plans for modernisation. Had a lovely breakfast at the nearby coffee shop. Smokey joes too! Definately worth a visit.
